Anyone remember the Swingin' Gym ride?

There was more than one version of the Swinging Gym ride. The version that I remember was called the Flying Cages and included the Allez-Oop at Kennywood and the same type of ride at West View. The West View ride was there from 1963 to 1966. Interestingly, it replaced a Round-Up and was later replaced by another Round-Up.

I do remember seeing a Swinging Gym at the Ohio State Fair during the mid 1970s. It was part of the Gooding midway.

For those who have never been on a rock-o-plane.Rock-o-planes have locking grab bar that you can hold yourself in any position. With practice you can do the whole ride upsidedown by flipping at 9:00 and 3:00.I had alot more fun doing that rather than random flipping.I-X in Cleveland was the last place I rode one and I haven't been there in 8 years. Don't know if they still bring one in anymore.
