Anyone own an actual piece of rollercoaster.

Hi does anyone here own an actual piece of an old rollercoaster torn down. Also with them buiding PR in kennywood, do you think they will sell old pieces of metal in a frame or so from SP.

If they do, I'd like to get a piece of that action! I guess Ebay would be the place to look for that type of stuff. Everything from park post cards to a certain rides wheels have been sold there.

I have a piece of Boulder Dash. Lake Compounce were selling scrap pieces of the lumber used. I did have a piece of the Phoenix too. My grandmothers one friend worked at Knoebels and durring the reconstruction she asked a worker if she could have a piece. Unfortunately I don't know what happened to it. :(

I have a bolt that held the supports to the footer on The Corkscrew that used to be at Myrtle Beach Pavilion.
I have a piece of Ghostrider!!
I have a piece or the "Giant Roller Coaster" at Crystal Beach. If anyone wants one just go go to CB and you can get one along with a certificate of authenticity.
I have a piece of the Knoebel's Twister. Took it from the turn near the campground. Also, I have branches that overhung the Pheonix.
Hey scanz, is that "Giant Roller Coaster" at CB the Crystal Beach Cyclone? That's the only good coaster I've heard of them having, and with the certificate and sales and all it seems like it could be. That by itself would be worth a trip up there -- they just don't make 'em like the Cyclone anymore...
As a matter of fact, a couple months back, there was indeed a piece of Steel Phantom's track for sale on eBay. Thing is, it was only a chewed up piece of running rail that looked like a rusty old pipe. I'm guessing that the auction was just Kennywood testing the waters to see if putting this stuff up for sale was worth it. I would have, however, tried to get a solid piece of track, maybe three ties long.

I have a 2 foot link of lift chain from the Blue Streak from Conneaut along with some spikes, and a few pieces of the trains that fell off when I worked there.I also have a load of lumber.I also have the 'wait behind yellow line' sign that hung over the station. I have a track section of the Racer from Kennywood, with some structure wood.

I have some wheels off of the train on the Time Twister from Jolly Roger in Ocean City, now in Malaysia, along with some electrical components.

From Cedar Point, I have some wheels and parts from White Water Landing, and I have the Avalanche Run sign that was at the end of the 'q', with the little knob that turns the time to wait indicator. (that was quite a feat getting that off of park property.)

From Morey's Pier's, I have tons of wood from the Great White, I have a saw blade used in the cutting, I have some extra angled steel pieces from the structure, and I have some pins from the Great Nor'Easter that holds the coach to the chassis. They make great door stops.

Actually I have enough signs to warrant renting one of those storage units. If I ever need money one day, I will just have a ebay special.
Now that's alot of stuff agent johnson not only do you get to ride coaster's first but you own alot also, real cool collection there.

Some say I could open a museum. But who has time to view my 7000+ photos.
I got a piece from the lift hill on some wooden coaster at Chippewa Lake Park. The park has not been operating since I think 1970?

Get ready to fly over Six Flags Oh..er I mean Six Flags Worlds of Adventure this summer with X-Flight!
The Giant Coaster at Crystal Beach was the"other" coaster at the park. Long overshadowed by the younger Cyclone and later the Comet, it became one of the last operating side board friction coasters in North America. That is until Crystal Beach's closing.
