anyone know the gr and monte situation

Fairly straightforward question. I just heard that ghostrider and monte are both down for rehab at the moment and was wondering if this is true and if so does anyone know if they will be opened back up by 9/11 because if not I will be going to disney instead.

It appears that they are both in rehab right now. Since that just began on 9/2 I wouldn't count on them being back by 9/11. You never know, but I think that both might take a little longer than that.

Does seem a little weird they'd take down the two best rides in the park at the same time, no? well, other than Xcelerator (the real reason I'm returning to KBF)....

edit: I'll be there later on in the same week....Monte should have less work to do, that's more likely I think.....

It seems totally logical to me to take down a few rides between Labor Day and the start of Knotts Scary Farm. KSF is always a sellout and you need all rides running that time of year.

FYI, over the holiday weekend GR's silver train valleyed on the saddle turn. I heard it was due to something [that a rider had brought on the ride] jamming the wheels of one of the cars, but I don't have 100% confirmation on that. Silver is out for rehab now, so if anything GR should still be running one train UNLESS there was also damage to the track on the turn.
