Anyone have any interesting Steel Phantom media to share???

Does any one know of or have any cool Steel Phantom photos, videos, advertisments, etc... to share or know of any of these things and where they can be found either online or elsewhere? Thanks!
Ok. Use the address bar and type http://www.google.com. Still following? OK, good. Then type steel phantom in the little box. And just like magic, all the steel phantom media you could ever hope to find. Amazing, no?
ive exhaused that man, I was hoping some of you would have things that are unique that I havent found yet. smartass.
Well according to Google, there were 2,510,000 results for "Steel Phantom." You went through all those and still had time to post a thread saying "B&M track arrives at Kennywood?" I envy the amount of time you seem to have on your hands.
Anyone else find it funny that he's looking for things he hasn't found, yet he won't tell us what he already has?
^ Perhaps he doesn't want to link to 2.5 million websites ;)

Seriously - Is it that hard NOT to flame someone for asking for some info? Yeah, google is fine and dandy, but Give somebody a break once in a while.

Thanks man.

You know I was just asking if any of you had something special to share. Ive seen the usual pictures and an on ride POV....but I was hoping someone might have something cool and unique, a Steel Phantom ad, or a video ad, or even a picture that you think is unique or cool...anything. Thanks, for those of you who understand what I mean.

Lord Gonchar has some of the most unique stuff I've seen on his site:

http://www.coasterimage.com/features/steelphantom/index.htm

Here's one that you might find interesting. It's a full 360' standing in the station of Steel Phantom looking at the loops and drop, etc.

Kennywood 360 degree pics with a few Phantom shots

Steel Phantoms last days 360 degree station

If you're looking for anything in paticular like a certain shot or anything just e-mail me. I have a TON of pics, video, etc. I have that ride documented down to every bolt...or so it seems.

This is far from new (in fact some of it was shot circa. 1997!). And it's been on my web site before. But since you asked, and since I haven't changed the movie on my site since Christmas of 2004, I offer my 2001 Kennywood clip, which includes rare views of Noah's Ark, Steel Phantom, Thunderbolt and Jack Rabbit.

Dave's Featured Movie

(removed bit about Fast Start being broken)

That was quick; I still had the DV version on the computer. Fast start is fixed, and the file size is down to 11 Mb (from 16 Mb).

go to americacoasters.com and go to the videos link it might take a while considering your connection. Anyhow its a good video with music set from the stone temple pilots.

Resident Arrow Dynamics Whore

I have a Steel Phantom candle still wrapped in plastic with the price tag on it, does that count? ;)

RideMan, I can hear the music and sound in your video but no picture, its just a white screen. Do I need a newer version of quicktime or is there a glitch in the file? Any way you could format it mpeg or wmv? Thanks.
Jeff, that file is encoded with an MPEG-4 codec, specifically 3IVX D4 4.5.1, which is (a) not the latest version of the codec, and (b) in my experience is compatible with the MPEG-4 codec that Apple introduced with QuickTime 6. Let me check something else...

...I used MPEC-4 audio as well (AAC) and if you're hearing that, something is definitely wrong, as Apple didn't introduce that codec until QT-6 either.

No chance of encoding to WMV, and if I go to a raw MPEG file it would make the file HUGE to get quality even close. I'd prefer to tweak something in the file to make it work for you. Hmmm...I could use Apple's MPEG-4 codec, which might fix it...

Can you download and play back in the QT Player? There might be something goofy about the plug-in settings, and if so, it would work in the player. What browser are you using? I don't remember if that page calls the ActiveX control, and I can't test in IE until I go to work on Monday. What version of QT are you using?

Anybody else having problems with this one?

yeah, I only get sound. I have all the plugins, I tried IE also, and only sound? I haven't tried downloading it though yet. It sounds great though ;)

Well, crap!

I just switched it out again, and now Fast Start is broken again, but it's an older encoding and it might actually work. Unfortunately, they *all* work for me, so I can't test. Please let me know if it works now. I'll keep fighting with it until it works. I never had this kind of trouble with the Dragster movie...!

It played fine for me in Quicktime and my browser is Safari. Nice video! I wish I could have got to ride Steel Phantom.

LOL, I got to ride the old Phantom....or at least I think I did...had memory loss ever since... ;)

Hard to imagine ANY coaster having those kind of *radical* changes made...and them being for the better?? And I mean WAYYYYY better. What they have now is a certain top-5 coaster, what they had was a *beating* waiting for you.

Still, Steel Phantom was completely unique...then again, so is PR...Kennywood plain ROCKS! :)

PR is in my top three.

The original still sits in my top 20 of all time.

PR is amazing but SP was just as amazing...cmon a hyperlooper? AMAZING
