Anybody know where to get a good coaster design pr
I am looking to purchase a good quality roller coaster program. Any price range will do. And I don't want roller coaster tycoon programs!!!
Well, Ultra Coaster 3D is decent, only 20 bucks. In the fall, there is a new game coming out called No Limits. I think the website is www.nolimitscoaster.de But those are still*games*. I guess you could go to Danimation and ask about 3D Stusdio Max, but that software is hardcore.

Ultra Coaster 3D is dumb and horrible.
There are about 3 others on the market that really can stench up the niche market of coaster/amusement park designing.
Sim Theme Park/Sim Coaster are more of Amusement Park management.
If you want a quality rollercoaster designing game, then you got to go out and get a Dreamcast.
on 04-17-01, Coaster Works is released. It retails for $39.95 and is a pretty decent coaster designing game. It allows for quite a bit of freedom, but the graphics are not 100% Dreamcast quality. It's strictly for coaster building & riding...

If you want something even better... search on-line and import the game "Jet Coaster Dream 2" for the Sega Dreamcast. Basically, it is the Japanese sequal for Coaster Works, but is much, much better. There are more coasters, more designs, and you can put up flat rides as well!

It'll be an eternity before No Limits is completed, so I wouldn't hold your breath. Until then... stick with Sega if you are a complete fanatic!

Man, I tell you. I am dying for that no limits to come out! Being able to make a 3D coaster that looks as good as that 3D of Mantis, etc. will be unreal!

well i am trained on ProE and that program will alow you to actualy test your ride after you finished desinging it but that will run you an extra 25,000 but it is the most powerfull cad/perimetric modeling program there is
I just went to Best Buy last week, and bought a game called "3D Rollercoaster Designer". It is made by Pantera Entertainment. It looks really cool. It is along the lines of UC3D, but you can build woodies, inverts, flying, etc...
