Any work being done on The Boss @ SFStL?

I was just wondering if any work has been done on The boss, I was hoping of hearing about some retracking. That cpaster has such good potential but the track and the trains are such crap it as been really rough.
Yes its had "some" retracking, however I think alot of people will be surprised at how much new wood was put on SE over the winter. I can see more new wood then they have put on in the last 2 years.

I heard rumord of a few PTC's being added to it.

Come on Paul. Don't tease us like that.;)
I heard that from a few sources. They were supposed to come with a bunch of track work but my sources didn't say when so it may be 05 -07.

PTC's would improve the ride greatly. Period.
Absolutely. I thought that I heard somewhere that the coaster ran briefly with the trains from the Screamin' Eagle when it first opened? Anybody get a chance to ride it like that?
Yeah but I was all of 5 years old so I don't remember much..other than just about falling out (literally) because I was really too small to ride at the time. I was totally petrified during the entire ride and it was from that moment on, that I was in love with the roller coaster. :)

I think The Boss "borrowed" one of the Eagle's PTC trains for opening weekend before the Gerstlauers arrived. From what I've been told, that is when the ride performed its best. Hopefully that rumor about the PTCs is true... I've never ridden The Boss but I know how awful those G-trains are when it comes to laterals.
G-trains or still there fellas. And as far as the PTC for media day. It wasnt because the G-trains wernt there, it was for some other reason. I think it might have been due to the vallying problems the Gtrains were having at the time.

From what I hear the Eagle trains were used because there were some issues with the bearings on the G Trains.

That could be the case. I'm trying to think back to what I read years ago when I can't even remember what I had for dinner a few hours ago.

Joey - you realize you have to be 13 to use this site? There is no way you could be 5 when Boss opened and over 13 now.

As Bossstl said, the Gerstlauers are still there. The work that has been done on Screamin' Eagle is amazing. I have not ridden it yet this year, but the track work from last year really livened up the old ride. If the same thing is in store for Boss this year, then I look forward to riding it soon.

G trains had the wrong kind of bearings in them when SFStL first got them and they would not make it around the course. Park borrowed a PTC from SE for media day. At least that is how I remember.

moosh' -- yeah i realize what i said now.. <stupid stupid stupid> I thought that the conversation was about the first season of the Screamin' Eagle. Boy was I wrong! However the story about the Screamin' Eagle still stands. -sorry bout the misunderinformation. :)

Yes, rumors of Boss having PTC's in the coming years have been coming out strong. We'll see what I get when I interview some of the managers this week.

LOL Joey...I thought that might be the case ;)
Boss still has G-trains. But look forward to the new wood on eagles tracks, if that means they retracked it.
