All the track is in place..

It is hard for people to get into the construction to take photographs, hence why there has not been many updates..

The park is closed, and unless you can get into the park somehow, It's hard to see the ride, mostly because it was designed to be lower than the surrounding trees.

On the UK theme park discussion board Rideas, Wayne Burton, who lives down the road from the park, posted that he has seen air's trains today, and photos of which will appear on his SW5Live site at 8.30pm GMT. Sorry, I don't know what time that will be over there in the US. Florida is five hours behind us though.

The pics of the Air trains are now online, although they are shrik-wrapped and it is difficult to see the details... They are silver in colour, with black restraints (that look surprisingly thin!!)..

To see the pics click this link http://www.ttxtra.com/air/closedseason.htm

those restraints look like metal bars wrapped in black styrofoam.  am I seeing things wrong or are these the actual restraints?  or could padding arrive later and be installed before or after the cars are placed on the tracks?  one thing that I love is the absence of a floor unlike its Vekoma cousin.  I'm definatly making a trip to Georgia next year and hopefully I'll hop the pond when I get some money.

We need not worry.  B&M has built some of the most comfy trains ever. (OK, some people may not be fond of their old stand up trains, but still...)    Also, John Wardley said that they (B&M) have been working on this since the planning stages for Nemesis (almost 10 years) mainly on the concern of rider comfort.  I bet they will be amazing!

Those do look awfully thin, but I'm positive B&M will not disappoint.

I am pretty sure that those bars wrapped in the foam are the bars the exterior padding is attached to...even the little 'arms' that stick out on the side by your waist so you dont fall out the side don't have padding....yet...

I think that those are the actual restraints. Look at restraints on this poster and compare them to pictures of the trains. They are almost identical.

How do you know the name?  I heard it was gonna be called either Superman Ride of steel or Superman Flight of steel. I obviously think it will be the second one.

I befriended the CS manager this year, by showing off  me Alton Towers tattoo! I went to the park 11 Dec as he invited me to have a look through the archives...WOW! There's loads of historical pics, paintings and documents there, and did you know that the Hex story (untill the bit about the vault) is true?!  The tree is in the woods, park up next to the goods entrance by Oblivion, and follow the path over the road, its still got the chains on! Its really scary, anyway....I was buzzin being able to drive my car around the park..and got a photo of it next to the towers!and some VHS footage of the lift chain on Air being installed, the entire track (inc the tunnel!), but no bloody trains! missed 'em by 1 day...gutted, but, nah, I had  a wicked day.
