Any thoughts on Tilt Coasters?

I understand how the brakes are supposed to work, but that doesn't mean I still don't have a concern that the thing looks unsafe. Honestly, I can't wait to ride one of these things, but like someone mentioned before, my heart will be in my throat the entire time hoping that the ride is safe. Peace. :)

I think that is the scariest ride I have ever seen...I can't imagine sitting in the back of the train, I would freak out.

I am a coaster freak, but I must admit that this ride makes me nervous. I really don't think I would go on one...I just don't trust the locking mechanism.

I'm sure there will be extra failsafes on the thing. Now all they need to do is to make a 300' model and use an elevator lift.

Man that tilt coaster looks crazy, ill ride but only if it is safe, cause a lot of things can go wrong on that coaster. But it sure looks like fun!!!!

Think of how crazy the back seat would be, because when you are tilting your basicly being "launched" out of the train, LoL. These things look like they will be fun.

I think they are gonna have to make a new type of brake that's failsafe. That would mean safety inspections from the park and Giovanola very, very often, as well as a power source other than power lines that can go out. Generators probably. A new brake, instead of the linear brakes that hit the brake fin, would have to be designed. Magnetic brakes would work. I don't think any park is up to the insurance costs or maintenance of this ride, even though it would kick ***

Imagine what could happen if a guy like, oh, Stan Checket's with his twisted mind for fear designed one. Hypersonic's non-completed circuit would be just the beginning. How about a tilt that, half way tilting, let the train slide a few feet forward? Or how about just letting the whole arm that holds the track "break", and as the arm pretends to hang on by a wire, let the track swing around, train face down, until it runs out of momentum and stops face down, connecting with the vertical track below?

If any park has the slightest hint of intelligence will keep these things under serious inspection if they ever got one. I know that the safety issue is worked out, and nothing would ever happen on one of these things. I can only imagine that there is censors that will just not let the brakes release until the tilt is complete. Besides, the worries that everybody has would keep people off of these things and just make the wait shorter for people like me!

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
These look a little too insane for my taste. I may ride once just to say I did but after that ??? I love the front seat on any coaster and I'm trying to imagine what the view/feeling will be like on one of these. It has to be very intense.

When Six Flags used to rotate coasters in the early 80's they had a ride called "Shockwave". At the bottom of the first hill the track separated (A stand up coaster) and the people in the front car suffered some pretty bad injuries. Nothign bloddy, but one guy did break is hip due to the sudden stop and his positioning on the ride. It was a cool ride though.
