Any Silver Bullet (Knott's) Info/video/pics?

I just came back from a trip to Buena Park for a company meeting. I thought I heard about a new ride at Knott's, but didn't know it was open, or expect it to be something in serious competition with Magic Mountain. I was going to go to the park after the meeting today to check it out as well as Xcelerator, but after calling and finding out they close on the weekdays at 6PM, and it was 4PM at the time, I decided to just go another time.

I've been looking for pictures, or more importantly, video of the coaster as I only saw it driving by. It looks awesome, like what Batman at Magic Mountain should have been. Has anyone been on it yet? How are the lines on the weekends? Anyone know where I can see pictures or video of it in action?

what about the lines?

by the way that link crashed my computer, so i'll have to try it later when im not in a hurry

The line for Silver Bullet shouldn't be all that long, like 15-20min long.
Even on a saterday? I would expect it to be much longer than that for a new ride, heck I'd expect Xcelerator to be more than 20 min.

Magic Mountain's pass-cutting system isn't even that fast!

I just recently got back from cali also. I had never been to the west coast so Knott's and Magic Mountain were at the top of my to do list. I thought Silver Bullet was awesome- the only thing was as soon as we boarded it started to downpour, and it stopped when we pulled back into the station. but it was really good- sometimes inverteds mess with my head but that didnt it was really smooth.

I waited about 10mins because they were only running 1 train. But it was a Wednesday the park was pretty empty.

The Fast Lane at MM was fast for me we passed through 2 hour lines. But Knott'd still doesnt compare to Magic Mountain w/ X.

Well it looks like I'll be heading down there this weekend, hopefully it isn't too busy, but I'm thinking it will be with the canned food drive they have (bring in a can of food, get in for $17).

I just hope I get on Xcelerater and Supreme Scream a few good times without wasting away too much of the day waiting in lines much like a typical trip to Magic Mountain.

I wouldn't worry about crowds too much. Knott's is always running a deal for SoCal residents (although, this canned food drive is the best I've seen). Usually it's admission for half price. Last month a $20 donation to Tsunami victims resulted in free admission (or so I'm told). And now the canned food drive. Anyway, winter months are typically slow, so you should get plenty of rides in. Going on the weekend in the winter is often the equivilent of going on a weekday in the summer.

Last year I went in February, and had a blast. We also went in March, and it just so happened there was some sort of state cheerleading competition. It was a little crowded, but we still went on plenty of rides and enjoyed ourselves thouroughly.

I'll be interested to hear what you experiences are with the food drive going on. I have friends coming in from out of town next week, and we were planning on going to Knott's on the weekend. So let us know how things work out you. Enjoy your trip!

And FYI- The food drive has not been advertised except on the website, so not everybody knows.

I just got back from my first trip to KBF and it was a great time! I went on Saturday the 15th and all I can say is that it is a tremendous park.

I got to the park a little after noon and SB was a walk-on, and remained a walk-on until about 3pm. By the end of the night it was a long, 5 minute wait ;). They did have two trains running all day.

Interestingly, Ghostrider had the longest line, usually about 20-30 minutes. After riding it, I could definitely see why, however....it's a great woodie.

I would recommend to anyone to visit this park when they are in SoCal as I am hoping to make it back someday.

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

Don't be fooled little man...Xcelerator never has queue waits longer than 15 minutes outside of Halloween Haunt. And that's with a one-train operation too. It's a bit ironic isn't it? You would think this ride would attract a lot of patrons, but a good amount of visitors steer clear from Xcelerator.

^ The line for Xcelerator was over an hour on 12/30 (with two train op no less).
