Any SFWoA employees?

Just wondering because I just got a job as a ride operator on X-Flight for the 2003 season. Are there any other SFWoA employees?

Hey, I just contacted the park and no, there are not any other SFWoA employees. They informed me that you are the only employee they currently have for the 2003 season. In fact, you were the one who answered the phone!

You're going to have a blast.

P.S. - I've been unemployed for months. Ever since Wendy's went out of business, I just don't have a desire to work at any for any other fast food chain. R.I.P. Wendy's, home of the old fashioned "hamager!"

You'll have fun at X-Flight, my second fav ride to work. But your TL is a real a*hole. Dont get on his badside. Just Kiddine, hes on of the coolest kids to work for. You'll have fun up there.

I was just currently hired as a ride operator at SFWoA. This will be my first year working there and I am of course very eager to start!

I tried calling Monday, but I got the answering machine. I am currently 15, but will be turning 16 in mid-July, am I eligible for a ride operator? If not, or so, what else can I be? Thanks!

Well, probably not, since they are going to want you to work in the begining of the season too (May & June), and you have to be 16 to be a ride op. I can't comment on switching midseason, from one departement to another, 'cuz I just don't know.

This will be my second year at Worlds Of Adventure... I'll be ATL in a ride area somewhere in the park this season... so if you find me, you win a prize! Happy Hunting. (Hint: think geometrically dude...)

By the way, your ATL is very cool X Maniac. He actually knows stuff about coasters, unlike many of our employees.

Hey guys, I just turned 16. I am considering getting a job but I don't know what to expect. I was thinking SFWoA, but I live 45 mins from the park and gas is very expensive these days. I haven't looked into working at the park seriously enough because for the longest time their website has said there are no openings and to contact the park directly. What is your opinion, should I work there? Also if I did, I would want to be working on a coaster, or is there no chance of that? Thanks.
Many employees travle 45 minutes or more to get to the park... it's not uncommon at all. As for being hired, I would definetly say don't rely on the website, and rather call Human Relations directly. You will most likely be hired, in my opionion, unless you scare your interviewer... As long as you are 16, you can be hired into the ride operations department. But be prepared to work hard.

Well, alot of young hopefulls want to get a coaster in their ride area, but despite the fact that you want one, it won't increase your likelyhood you will get in. Trust me, I made it clear I was a member of ACE and regularly visited the park, and despite that, I was not placed in an area with a coaster.

I travel 45mins to the park everyday. Gas isn't too bad if you get one of your friends to get a job up there with you and then ride up there together then split the gas it isn't bad at all.

Your TL and ATL are awesome and work very well with each other. Believe me as long as yuou follow directions and don't act like a dumby you will have a lot of fun up at X-Flight this season.

Where are all of you from? I'm 45 min from SFWoA in Youngstown.

I live on the other side of Mogadore, just a little bit north of Canton. Thank you for your help guys, maybe I will call the park really soon. Also, would it be pointless to work there if I would also be playing a high school sport? It might be difficult for me to work regularly during May, but come summer I'll be fine. I would love to work at SFWoA and have dreamed of working there since I was a young child visiting Geauga Lake.
Nah, you should be ok, but you may be put somewhere you don't like. Remember that alot of College kids don't make it down there until June... and the park is only open weekends the first couple weeks in May. It shouldn't be a problem for you, as in my experience, the park is very flexible about your work schedule.

I will have a very busy schedule this summer. I'm taking two classes at school, plus hitting the parks. But at least next spring I will graduate and have a lot more time to ride some coasters! ;-)

Jes, I still haven't recieved my prize for finding you last year... Thats alright though, I'm sure I'll be up at the park quite often this summer.

I was actually very close to applying for a job this summer, but school's been killing me lately and plus I wouldn't have as much time to work this summer as I'd have liked. I guess I'll just be returning as a "guest" this year. Its all good though :)

Yea dude! I usually give out free tickets in hopes that Season Pass holders could bring friends, or if you don't have a season pass, you and and your friend could come or something. But by the time you found me, there was basically only one week left in the operating season, so I didn't have anything to give to you. But as soon as I can build up my stock pile of complementary tickets, I can mail you a couple.

Welcome to the team. You'll have tons of fun up at XF but along with it will come a lot of responsibility and hard work. I'll make sure you, along with the rest of the crew, are working your tails off to get trains in and out as safetly and quickly as possible. Also making sure you're doing it with a good attitude and a smile. I'm a nazi as you will soon find out lol. You'll be under two of the most dedicated leads in the park who both have strong goals they want to accomplish with your help. Once you know me, you'll see I like to have fun and work at an amusement park to have fun(and make money of course) but your duties come first. See you at training and once again welcome to the team.

Oh and can I get a frodem? Or how about a 29?

Bowmans!

Hey, welcome to the team. You'll see me floating around the 50's midway with a radio this season, and i guarantee you that you'll have a great time this season.

Oh, and whoever was complaining about driving 45 minutes to the park...it takes me an HOUR to get there, on a good day, and I'm going into my 4th season. Trust me, you make enough money to cover gas a few times :-p

I commuted from Youngstown to Geauga Lake one of the summers I worked there. If it wasn't for the Dunkin' Donuts at the rest stop I don't think I would have survived!
