Any SFGA discount coupons?

Trying to save a few bucks here on my upcoming trip to the Dells & SFGA.

SFoG has $15.00 off coupons at Wendy's. Does anyone know who around the Chicago area may have discount coupons to Six Flags? I've noticed that you can save $7.00 by purchasing tickets online but I am wondering if there are any better coupons that would be good on a Sunday.

thanks in advance.

Jewel grocery stores have tickets for $8.00 off the gate price, which are valid until 9/18/05. You should be able to find one in Gurnee. I believe Dunkin Donuts has $10 off admission (with a purchase of some drink), but I don't know when that deal expires.
I'm going to swipe this topic for a a really dumb question, sorry :)

Some parks tend to be less busy on Sunday than Monday (at least that's how Cedar Point has been) but that doesn't necessarily mean all parks are like that. It also varies depending on time of year etc...

I'm going to hit SFGAm for the first time and I'm debating Sunday vs Monday. It won't be Saturday. I did search here, but didn't find a lot of strong opinions either way. Whatdya think?

There are $7 off tickets to Great America on the back of Coke and Sprite cans.

As far as which day is better, Sunday or Monday....if possible you should probably try to spend both days at the park. It is really hard to do everything at Great America in one day, especially now with the new waterpark.

I'll be skipping the water park.
^Hey thanks for that info. A Coke can should be easy to get a hold of.

Unfortunately, I will only have a limited time at SFGAm before my 8pm flight leaves at O'Hare. I plan to get to the park at 10am and ride until 4pm or so. I am not exactly sure how long it will take to get to the airport, plus I have to drop off my rental car.

As long as I get my Raging Bull & Viper rides I'll be satisfied.
:)

Expect heavy traffic on the southbound Tri-State toll at that time. Very heavy on a monday but still heavy with people returning from Wisconsin on a sunday. *** Edited 7/14/2005 10:50:16 PM UTC by mattmatt***

Just make sure you ride Bull in row 9 ;), and Viper gets the best air in 1:3 (first car row 3) and 5:3 (last car row 3)

Ahhh, thanks for the tips guys (on the traffic and Viper seat). My only discomfort in the trip is not knowing how long it takes to get to the airport. So, I am allowing 2 hours from SFGAm to O'Hare, leaving SF around 3:30pm. Can't take any chances, plus I know how busy that airport is...
Yeah, you should be fine. When I was in Chicago we headed north to O'hare and SF is about a little over an hour to Chicago so you should be fine.

i'm not sure what to put here..

You should be able to get from Great America to O'hare in under a half hour.

well a half hour is pushing it, but you can get there in under an hour for sure. O'Hare is closer to SFGAm than my town, and it takes me 45 minutes to get to the park.

On weekdays, southbound 294 backs up during rush hour. It will probably take you 45 - 60 minutes in traffic. With no traffic, you can make the drive in 20 - 30 minutes. 294 usually backs up around Willow Ave. and will be bumper to bumper all the way to the O'hare exit (190 I believe). If you arrive at the park at 10 am, you should have no problem riding every coaster by 3:30pm. The last time I did something like that was the day before my wedding, June 24th. I arrived at the park around 10:05 or so and went right to Deja Vu. Viper & Bull get a little crowded sooner due to the water park not opening until 11am as people head towards the waterpark and then chill in Southwest Territory until it opens.

If I was you, I would head to Vu first if it is running, then make your way around the park skipping viper & Raging Bull. You prob. can take in every other coaster (besides Wizzer) in 2-3 hours as the waterpark sucks up a lot or crowds... or at least that is the way it has been the times I have been there this season.

One last thing to note is that the Viper line can be very deceiving, if they let people pack the station, due to the size of the station; a station wait can be 30 minutes.
