Any Rumors About SFoG?

Tuesday, September 25, 2001 4:19 PM
With SFoG removing Viper I wonder if amyone has heard and rumors about what ride might take it's place?  They need a killer ride at the back of the park to pull people past the Great American Scream Machine.  Hopefully, they will consider removing the arcade area behind the bumper cars and re-themeing this area.  I would suggest better flow with midway games along a mall that leads to a new mega coaster.  I really believe that this park needs to be bold and build something that will break some records.  Anyone heard anything?  Have any comments?

At the night of Viperthon, there were several rumours going around but nothing concrete.  I heard hyper, Impulse, X, and "something bigger and better than ROS."  You name it, it was mentioned.  The park is ready to announce it but are going to hold off because of the recent news events.

They're going to demolish the games on that end of the park where the entrance to Viper was located and open up that end of the park with the area near Acrophobia (somewhere around there.)  It won't be a dead end anymore back there.  I'm very much anxious to see what they're getting next year!

The park reps we talked to kept "mentioning" the 200' height restriction, which they thought had a little "wiggle room".  Makes me think S:ROS, 'cause they're around 200', give a GREAT ride, and there's nothing like them at the park now....Also, they were mentioning MAJOR revisions to the pathways and the "look" of that back section of park.  I still think SFKK is the destination of Anton's beloved Viper - the coaster that strikes twice (P.S. It has already struck twice, as Viper and Tidal Wave - where WILL it strike next?)!
