Any reason to get the RCT1 Expansion sets now?

I just started playing RCT1 about two weeks ago (see my post in the porting to Mac thread for an explanation. Now, that RCT2 is out, is there any reason to get Loopy Landscapes and Corcscrew Follies or RCT Gold? Or would RCT2 cover all of the goodies from these prior sets?
Thanks!

Well, RCT and RCT2 are two seperate games. If you just want to build coasters, just buy RCT2. If you dig playing scenarios, get CF/LL or RCT Gold, and RCT2.

So other than the scenarios, RCT2 has every ride/coaster that the came with the first series, right? I don't really care about the scenarios. I've beaten alot of the ones in RCT1 already.
Thanks for the info!

It's personally up to you. If you want to get an expansion pack for your RCT1 game get the LL Expansion Pack, otherwise you should go ahead and get RCT2.

I know that LL has lots of features that lax in RCT2 like the mountain tool and the various paths, land styles, Giovanola's Inverted Coasters (Is included in RCT1 but not in 2, it is one of the few rides removed from the 2 packs), launches on steel looping coasters and corkscrew coasters (Once again not in 2), and the game runs well without crashing as much. The few downsides to the game are the low height limits, the low staff limit (which is a bigger problem in RCT2), and the 5000 spirte limit (Like peeps, coaster trains, staff, and rides)

RCT2 is very buggy still. It does however features lots of new coasters, but very few new flat rides. What I like the most about RCT2 is the blocking systems on the coasters, the ablility to run more than 12 cars/boats on various rides, and the various scenery options for great themeing of the rides (you can even create yor own with a special program). The big problems of RCT2 are the bugs in the game which can crash your game when your doing construction to a ride, the low staff limit with bad AI (Very annoying), the unfreindly menus (It loads a file when you want it to exit), and the peeps have really bad AI due to a bug. This about all I have to say about RCT2.

What's the staff limit in RCT2 as compared to RCT1?

I've got a whole bunch of staff(mostly handymen of course) running around in my park & there doesn't seem to be a limit yet.

There should be no staff limit. How many expansion packs do you think will come out for RCT2?

If there is ever and RCT3, it should be the Cedar Fair edition along with others...Knoebels, Holiday World, Conneaut Lake Patk, Kennywood, and.....heck, even throw in the Paramount Parks! -That would be a great deal!
