Are there any major amusement parks near Richmond, Virginia, which is near BGW and PKD. I am making a trip there for Spring Break but maybe wanted to go to another park while I'me. Any suggestions?

rcdb has a cool feature to find "parks nearby" from any location, including other parks...trip planning helper!

There is a very small amusement park/gocart track at the southern end of Virginia beach that has a small spinning mouse and a kiddie coaster. It's not worth the trouble though unless you want to go to the beach.

Richmond does have an amusement park, PKD. It's only 30 minutes from town. :) Otherwise the next closest is SFA which is only about 1.5 hours from PKD. SFA offers an excellent hyper, a flying coaster, a very good twister woodie, an invertigo (much better than a boomerang, a fine old woodie, an SLC, and a Premier which should be interesting to try without the OTSRs this year.
