Any future coaster plans for IOA or BGT?

Has anyone heard anything about IOA or Busch Gardens Tampa planning to build new coasters in the nex couple of years?

I heard BGT is looking into a B&M hyper. I haven't heard anything about IOA except for the possible Jurassic Park Jeep ride. As for your signature, my hopes dwindle as each day passes. :(

All I can say is that I saw one of the Universal VP's getting comfortable with his peeps in the Nitro car at IAAPA. That doesn't mean anything, other than they wanted to pal around with Walter and Claude to thank them for the fabulous rides.

I don't know if they're getting any. Its about time Florida got a hypercoaster though, although it would probably go to Busch Gardens because of the 200 foot height limit in Orlando
BGT needs an indoor ride, I know that with the Tropical setting this seems crazy but an indoor would add to their selection of coasters.
I think an indoor coaster would be out of place. A hyper would be nice.

i would like to see an intamin hyper about 250'. I think it should interwine with montu and be called something in the means of Ra. *** This post was edited by hypersonic on 2/17/2001. ***
I doubt it would be put by Montu. There is just no room. Unless they got rid of the Serengeti Plain or Edge of Africa, and I don't see this happening. Hopefully the will get rid of Python and put something there. Although, I don't see this happening either.

Here are the rumours I have been hearing

IOA - I heard a good rumour that for IOA's next big Coaster, it will be a B&M Vertical Drop Coaster, It will most likely fit between JPRA and DD somewhere as IOA own all this land for future devolpment, It would also be the perfect ride for IOA because its heavily technologily advanced which is what IOA want all their rides to be

I too have heard the rumours of the Jeep Ride, this would also go near JPRA to fit in with the jurassic park theme.

BGT - There is still strong rumours BGT will get a Hyper and will come in 2002 fitting in with the 3 year rule. I have been hearing the rumour for over 2 years now, so Its bound to happen, Look for an Apollo's Chariot style layout. Another reason why it will happen is because I heard they were gonna see how popular Apollo did at BGW for 1 year and then consider one for BGT. As for the location, It will most likely go behind The Pyhthon.

Although Florida does need a Hyper, I also heard BGT may get a B&M Vertical Drop Coaster, when Gwazi was announced, BGT done a survey asking people what people wanted to see after Gwazi was built, the winner was a B&M Vertical Drop Coaster, I am still guessing they will get the hyper in 2002 though, but who is to say this wont happen for their next big coaster in 2005;)
When you say vertical drop coaster, are you talking about the same thing as a B&M Dive Machine like Oblivion?
FloridaCoasterRider - Yes I am talking about a B&M Dive Machine(the same as Onblivion) although I am thinking if one does get built at IOA or BGT, It will most likely have a longer circuit, and maybe even inversions, dont forget the one at Alton Towers was only a prototype and Alton didnt have much room to build the coaster, I wouldnt be suprised if B&M are working on big changes to the coaster for one to be built next year(that park being IOA or BGT next year) ;)

Also as I live in England, I have ridden Oblivion many times, and I have heard from a lot of americans that the layout is borning and it just dosnt look very good at all(Lift,Drop, turn into the brakes) But I can tell you its certaintly not, That Drop is just incredible, and the hole where it dives into is a lot deeper than people think. I guarantee you americans will enjoy it where ever B&M decide to build one:)
Can dive machines have inversions? It seems like they could, but I'm not sure.
BGT will get a Standup from B&M and this coaster will replace the Scorpion.
Are you sure it will replace Scorpion? Scorpion is in a n area with quite a few rides, and I don't think a stand up would fit there---although it could replace python very nicely.
There is no way a standup could fit in the scorpion spot! It is a tiny lot with buildings all around it! I think you need to check your sources...

i heard b&m isnt gonna make standups any time in the near future because they cost s lot and arent as exciting. thats just what i heard
i think BGT should get an intamin LIM invert similar to volcano.
They already have a great inverted.
