Any Buzzers ever tour a coaster manufacturer's pla

I'm a Machinist and I like to see how other machine shops do things any how.So touring a coaster maufacturing plant would be cool.
i dont think they give tours.
ACE was given a tour of PTC's facility during this year's Coaster Con. We did NOT get to see any new trains under construction, but DID get to see the tools, various spare parts, and all the antique trains and car segments that PTC is storing. It was a very cool experience. One of these years I hope to have my pictures from that tour posted.

There are pictures of the PTC tour in a 7/17 Coaster Buzz article. Check out the archives. While the tour of PTC was interesting, the facility is basically just a machine shop.

The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) does various tours and such around the state. One of the shows happened to feature the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. I believe it was filmed in '98. I've seen it on TV once or twice. It's a pretty decent show. At the very end, you get to see shiny, brand spankin' new trains for Knott's GhostRider. Pretty cool stuff to coaster geeks like us. :)

You can visit the Allen Herchell Museum in Towanda NY, it has an antique carousel you can ride and a small museum. Its a real treat.
Us NorCal ACE'rs were totally lucky enough to get a private exclusive tour of Morgan Manufacturing last year. Being a total coaster geek, I found it beyond facinating, one of a kind experience. At the time, they were still building Steel Dragon 2000, so we got to see and feel a piece of history up close. Plus we got to see many of the flat ride vehicles being made for Bonfante Gardens. And at the end, Dana handed out a schematic drawing of Steel Dragon, personally hand signed by both Dana and Steve Okamoto(designer of SD2000). Wish they gave these tours yearly, but it was definitely a day that I, and most others who attended, won't ever forget!

The PTC tour photos are up on SixFlagsHouston.Com, by the way. Nice montage of the classic rolling stock that was on display.
