That's sad. He had a good life, by making/designing roller coasters.

Now it's time to celebrate his life and his great work by enjoying the rides he brought the world, the best way to pay tribute. Anton Schwarzkopf lives forever.
Wow. What an amazingly sad and shocking thing to hear. My heart goes out to his remaining family, and I dedicate my Sunday ride on Montezooma's Revenge to the genius himself!

Millennium Force: The Future's Riding On It
This is a truly sad day for the coaster community. This man was a true genius at designing rides. From flat rides to kids rides, to roller coasters, he did it all. It is so very sad that some of his designs could never have been realized, and now they probably will not for sure.

My condolences to his family, he will be truly missed. :(
Schwarzkopf, the father of the loop. Where would enthusisasts be without his innovations:

Box track
Lap restraints
Minimal designs with great pacing
Strong Gs
Intriguing designs

:( My Idol, dead

Rest In Peace

My prayers go out to the whole Schwarzkopf family

This should be in the news section...

What's really sad is in an old issue of Amusement Today (June 99) I picked at Knoebels, he said he had wanted to get back to work on a prototype that would go over a hundred miles an hour and used air tube tires. Sadly his Parkison's Disease never got better so he could work on it. He figured the only park that could afford the design would be a Six Flags park. Maybe it'll still come to light.

My heart and condolences to the family. Perhaps the best memorial of all is that he will be remembered every time a coaster runs a loop.

This is a sad day indeed. A great man has passed. My heart and prayers go out to the entire Schwarzkopf family. May he rest in peace.
Very, very, VERY upsetting news. Schwarzkopf was, IMO, the best coaster designer that ever lived. Every one of his rides which I have ridden are designed EXACTLY how I like them.

Why is it that we always lose some of the greatest designers of all time?At least he is riding that great coaster in the sky, where the trains are always running and the lines are always short. He will be sorrowly missed.
I am truly sorry. My feelings goes out to the family. Though I have not yet to ride one of his masterpieces, I will dedicate my first ride on Monte' to him. God Bless Him. May he R.I.P.
