Anton love thread time!

I spent today taking as many laps as I could on Mindbender at SFoG. Such a great ride that even after so many years that it can be so smooth and deliver so much in one ride.

RIP Anton, we wish you would've had longer to grace us with your creations!

Am I the only one who doesn't get anything out of Schwartzkoph's? <ducks>

Monte, Mindbender, Laser at DP, Scorpion, SDL, Zonga all didn't do much for me. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind a marathon session on Mindbender or Monte, but they're not rides I would go out of my way for.

Yeah, I think you're pretty much alone there Andy.

Schwarzkopfs are awesome. He is easily my favorite designer. I was so disappointed to find that Greezed Lightnin' wasn't opened when I visited Astroworld this spring. Oh well, still got my rides in on Viper! But not only do Anton's rides still ride smooth and look great, they also make some of the neatest sounds ever. I love to hear a Schwarzkopf fly through a loop.

Actually, Wildcat and Whizzer were both great rides but I'd still rather ride a B&M or a Intamin.

Andy, see my above post - you're not alone!

I don't love the TOGO's I've ridden, but I don't hate them either.

1. ME at NYNY - I actually liked this. I'm not sure I've seen anybody say that.

C'mon, Gonch, I'm surprised. ;) I've mentioned more than once that ME is my favorite coaster in Vegas.

I don't really love Togo's, either, per se, but I can give a strong 'I like [it] a lot' (in my best Lloyd Christmas voice) to just about all of the ones I've ridden, especially ME and Viper (uniqueness goes a long way in my book). The stand-ups--while I prefer them over the B&Ms--are still really good rides, with KC's 'trick track' section allowing for a slightly more fun ride than Shockwave's.

But anyway, this thread is about Anton...and I must say that, even though Mind Bender is my #3 steel, I could seriously spend a full day at Hershey marathoning SDL. THAT is a coaster that I *love.*

Anton is a beast. I've only been on two of his creations, but one of them shot up to my nuber 2 coaster, Laser at DP. That is one of the smoothest and most forceful coasters I have ever been on. I loved every minute of it, but was worried that my long legs would prohibit me from riding. They didn't and I got my ride.

Thanks for all the creations Anton! RIP.

Weight lost to ride more coasters......90lbs
