Anti- Giga?

Has anybody else noticed that people won't ride any Giga-Coaster, saying it's not thrilling enough? I think this is ridiculous, but no matter which one I pick, they won't ride any Giga. Do they ever ride them?

Take care and God bless!

Whats your intensity rating?

1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Montu 3. Yankee Cannonball 4. Kumba 5. Gwazi 6. Cyclone (SFNE) 7. B:DK

They fill up mine...you must have a design flaw or your intensity is too high. DOn't forget to bank your curves and make them as gradual as possible at the higher speeds.

No... there are a certain scenarios the peeps just won't ride it, no matter how lame you make it. I've encountered this as well.

In all my RCT glory, I never noticed this. Which scenarios?

Dorney Park Visits in 2003: 8

Every time I make a Giga (usually mine come out to about 8 excite, 6 intense, 4 nausea) it gets huge crowds for the first three or four game-months, then after that, it rarely fills a train on one-train operation (9 cars). This has happened in all my custom parks - never really played the scenarios, so I can't comment on that.

On a side note since this is an active RCT topic - I know there's a patch out there for when it downsizes instead of starting, but has anyone found a solution when even the patch doesn't work other than reinstalling the game? My laptop won't run the game for more than 8 or 10 days before the downsize problem "overrides" the patch.

Like Jeff said, I'm thinking it's just a scenario situation. The first one I noticed it on was Extreme Heights, and the second was my own created scenario. However in my created scenario, I programed the people to prefer more thrilling rides. I just didn't ever considet a Giga to not be thrilling, but whatever.... I'll just have to try and find some tamer scenarios. Thanks for the help.

Take care and God bless!

to check it just go in RCT2 and click on a guest and check what they prefer.

Really? The peeps on extreme heights absolutely love my giga. It's consistently the longest line in the park and it's been almost 5 years and i have 10 or 12 coasters. I wonder if it has more to do with the scenario or not?

S:ROS; SFNE. Ride it, and you'll understand.

Yeah, I have noticed how my giga is not as thrilling as the other roller coasters in my park. I mean, the popularity is always really high, however, the satisfaction rating is lower than what I would want it to be. I would get like 40% satisfaction ratings when every other roller coaster I have built would get a 70% satisfaction rating which is where it needs to be.

I also do not get the guests when they get off the ride even saying "That was great." So I feel like it was not the success I had hoped it would be.

I built my own Giga, and finally the peeps will ride it! However, due to the long lift hill (it's 400 feet high), it doesn't get very good capacity, and there's always a huge line. But at least peeps are riding it, and it has a great excitement rating.

Take care and God bless!

Well I stopped trying to make a giga-coaster using the cable lift hill. Every time I make one with it the capacity goes to *edit*. I now build a giga-coaster with two station operation and a chain lift hill. I get good capcity and in my custom scenarios I get really high excitement (around 9-10 useually) high intensity and low nausea. The satisfaction rating useually is above 70. I already beat all scenarios so i only make my own fantasy parks. I guess your designs have a flaw or your peeps have a really high tolerence for rides.

In Extreme Heights, the peeps will only ride coaster of intensity 9 or greater (around 9, anyway). So if you don't make it intense enough, they won't ride and if you do they'll flock to it like flies to honey (or something).

On my giga coaster in my created scenario there are 1000 people in line for it and its intensity is about 10 so I don't know if high intensity is the problem.
