Another SRM 2002 TR

Associated parks:
None

There were two coasters and they were great. I'm not going to give an in-depth turn-by-turn description of how wonderful they were, since others have already done it better than I ever could. The park is wonderful as it always is and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, SRM was simply the most fun I've had at this or any other park ever and here's why:

1. I got to talk about my favorite rides in an amount of detail that would cause most people's eyes to glaze over. Thanks to all of you who listened to me ramble on.

2. People told me about their favorite rides in a great amount of detail. Thanks for giving me ideas for my next three years worth of trips.

3. Mrs. Koch coming up and striking up a conversation during dinner. Thanks for making me feel welcome.

4. Discovering that everyone in line is your friend. I've never had more fun waiting for a ride. We would get in lines just to meet new people. Thanks for being so nice.

5. Smokers obeying the "No Smoking" signs. I can't even begin to tell you how much my girlfriend thanks you all.

I met a lot of people and enjoyed the company. Hope to see you again very soon!

Jeff F,

Everything that I have shows that this event is great!!! I have heard nothing but positive comments from everyone! This definately sounds like a way a park is supposed to be run and not like these big corporate parks. It sounds like you had a great time. I really would be interested in hearing more about your trip. My email is smles@ilstu.edu (also listed below) so feel free to email me. Great TR!

The waits during ERT seemed about 10-15 minutes at the busiest times if you weren't picky about your seat. I tend to take the first open seat closest to the part of the train I like. What really suprised me were the Saturday afternoon lines. 2:00 pm and we're walking all the way to the station! The parking lot was full, I guess everyone was in the waterpark or on the water rides because the coasters were wide open.
