Another Opening Day PKD Review

Associated parks:
None

Well...It was that day...Freezing Cold...and..Tired. (I wore a Green Jacket and my friend wore a Massponax High School Jacket)

Once my mom, friend, and I arrived at the park, my friend processed his pass, and we headed towards the back near the Paramount Theater. We waiting alittle for them to opening the rope and let the charge for Ricochet commense. I saw to men with Coaster Zombie jackets on.

I think about 30 people were scrambling for it. Not as bad as it was last year for Hypersonic XLC. Once we were in line, they told us it wouldn't be open for another half an hour, so we got out and waited outside. After like 10 minutes, they let us in, and we waited for about 5 minutes, and we were on. I couldn't wait. We got on the 5th car of the day and in the front.

Once at the top, they do a turn, brake, and drop. The drop is very nice for the coaster that it is. Its not to fast or high. After the drop, they brake gently, and let the tossing begin. There seemed about 8 Hairpin Turns before the first Turning Drop, then Turning Up above the station. After, you dive down and up, then around into another. Then finally 2 more turns, then into the stomach injuring brakes. Overall, its nice, but all 3 times we rode, the speed seemed different:
1st: Seemed Good
2nd: Sorta Slower
3rd: Good Speed
If they didn't brake after the drop, I think it'd be faster turns, making it better, but its fine as it is.

Eventually, we went to Triple Spin. I enjoyed it alot. Its a Huss Spin. The three axis car arms spin and the main thing spun. It was fun, seemed slow though. Its cool when they lower you down to the ground, and you spin fast near the floor. Overall, nice ride, good addition. Kings Dominion needs more of these.

After, we headed towards Meteor Attack. It was okay, but I liked Smash Factory better. It was long and good. My feet kept touching the floor. Overall, I enjoy 7th Portal more.

Some nice additions. The Rock Wall is gone, there is now a Whack a Mole there and a store type thing on the back of it. Where some of the HSXLC poles stick out, they built a garden around them. Hypersonic had no trains, no where. None on the ride or Service Tracks. I also notice behind the Rebel Yell, Grizzley, and Ricochet, there were ALOT of cars around. Some normal trucks, so service things. Also looked like they were doing some type of construction back there. I smell a big coaster for next year.

It was a great day. I love those little Faces on the back of some trains on Ricochet. Those little faces rule. I want a shirt with them all over it. Volcano had about a 30 min wait. Flight of Fear had about 5-15 minute wait. Anaconda had no wait. Ricochet had about a 20 minute wait all day. PKD has made some good things this year, but when HSXLC opens, it'll be better.

One correction for you and that is that Triplespin is a Huss Troika.

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.
RCT fan...were you waiting for FoF when it broke down? i was riding front row when it happened and i got stuck on the E-Brake. i remember you and your friend waiting for 2nd row, unless i saw someone else. but i saw 2 people, 1 was wearing a massaponnax jacket. amazing, i didnt even realize how many buzzers a met/saw yesterday. lets see....5?

We weren't waiting during the break down. We got on without any problems. But...The power went out when we were in the train. Thats the only thing that was wrong.

Its cool that you saw us. I wish I saw you...
