Another Concept that I have proposed

I have even went so far as to propose this to the Mayor of Indianapolis, IN: Bart Peterson

Here's my new concept for a theme park:

There is a company called HUSS rides that has recently
starting advertising their new flat ride line of
rides. They are HUGE and very thrilling. They offer
their own "concept" called The Land Of The Giants in a
package deal to have ALL of their new, giant flat
rides put into a park.  Check this out here:

http://www.hussrides.com/35bGiantLandSitePlan.htm

Throw in a GCI Wooden Twister coaster(more could come
later on down the road), and other
smaller rides(and/or including a strip mall and/or a megaplex theater) and it could be a very good venture for
Central Indiana.  The idea of Ferry Rides came to mind
to looking at the size of the river.

So what do you guys think of this concept?  Let's pray that the Mayor is open to this new idea

Are there any West Coaster GCI's?

Yep, Roar! @ SFMW is a sweeet GCI, one of only two with the rockin' Millenium Flyers trains. The best West Coast woodie after Ghostrider!
I think that would be a great attraction for Indianapolis, but I don't think that you could make it a reality. Where are you going to get the funding?

Also, there is one GCI on the west coast, ROAR! at SFMW.

yeah where is this funding coming from, i hope you can make this real cause a GCI anly 3 ours from my house would rock.

If the GCI is anything like Roar I say go ahead! LOL. The only thing I don't like about Millennium Flyer Trains is the lapbars area REALLY heavy so they get tighter and tighter throughout the ride. Oh well, it's well worth it! :)

This is partially the reason I have appealled to the mayor of Indy. We have a state fund called the "Build Indiana" fund. If this could be put into the city and be an improvement for the city, it would likely receive the proper funding, not to mention the local polictions and "the people's" support. The city is very supportave of their mayor, so if he thinks it would be good for the city, there is a strong likelyhood that it could happen.  There are many business consulting firms located within the theme park industry and the small business industry, not to mention they have an unumerable amount of lawyers and businessmen working for them.

It's a project in the making, but I am confident it will happen.

Side Note: The Garfield Adventure America project that was proposed for this area is still alive. It may not end up being the Garfield park, but they are still planning to build some type of "themed park" there.

how long are we talking here before you acctually start building on the park moss?

With any project, it will take time.  As soon as the funding, consulting, & permits are acquired, probably in the neighborhood of 3-6 years.  But then again, depending on how things work out, it could be sooner.

Like I said earlier, the Garfield project has not been written off. They are still planning to put a full sized "Themed park" the Hendricks county area(IN-39 and I-70) within the next few years.

Don't know about you, but sounds like alot to look forward too!

Coaster:

Im glad that you are interested in coming to this park.

This is my life time dream, I need all of the help I can to fullfill it!!

Well i'm just a poor high school student and can't help you much, except i can tell you this.  If you are going to start with a wooden coaster, make it a GCI, you can go with a CCI, but indiana is all ready full of them.  Also if your going with wood you have your work cut out for you, cause alot of ppl love HW's wooden creations.  And i would go with a GCI like wildcat, or roar, small, compact, and twisting everywhere.  Well goodnight, if you want to you can e-mail me at crfreihaut@yahoo.com

The other gci coaster with millenium flyrs is Lightining Racer at HERSHEY PARK.
The Lightning Racer Rocks! Both sides of it!

The Wildcat too. GCI'S have that Out-Of-Control Golden Era coaster feel to them. Gwazi Lion and Gwazi Tiger provided comparative rides

Umm, would a Mayor have any idea what a GCI twister is?

If SFoG doesn't already have a place for Viper, maybe you could pick that up.  Also, Nascar RaceWorld in Pigeon Forge has a nice CoasterWorks! coaster in great condition, (like new) that MAY be for sale.  I'd be very interested in helping you (as much as I can from FL).  Another resource for new, and especially used, rides is:  www.italintl.com .  I'd be interested in helping you (as much as possible from FL)...my IM/e-mail is: rollergator00@hotmail.com

Bigkirby: If memory serves me correctly, I do believe the Mayor of Indy is quite the coaster fanatic. But he knows business as well, it wouldn't take long for him to see what an awesome addition that would be to Indianapolis.

Gatorwoodie: In the back of my mind, I am keeping in mind used rides. Sometimes I have a second thought about them for the fact they are USED. If they was to seriously break down upon arrival here, the press would be HOT on it!
