Analysts question if Myrtle Beach amusement park could succeed

Investors looking to build a major theme park at Fantasy Harbour in Myrtle Beach could be on a risky ride, experts say. But supporters say the Grand Strand is ripe for a theme park, which they say would extend the season and take the area to the next level.

I'd actually rather see them build a nice new theme park with a couple of new coasters and rides at Fantasy Harbor(a great location, IMHO) and see the Pavilion stay down town(though it could use some TLC) then have the Pavilion be moved to Broadway at the beach. I think a Theme Park is the only thing Myrtle is missing. I mean, there are nice small amusment/fun parks with coasters and rides, interactive rides/attractions all down town, golf, museums, shopping, eating, the beach, stip clubs, gambling, clubs, etc. Why not have a nice major theme park?
