Analysts peg Blackstone share of Universal Orlando at $1.55 billion

NBC Universal, controlled by Comcast Corp., may need to pay as much as $1.55 billion to buy the 50 percent stake in two Universal Studios Florida theme parks that partner Blackstone Group LP is seeking to sell.

I'm not entirely sure that the analysts have this one right. I'd be really surprised if Kabletown didn't want the parks. Citing that they're capital intensive businesses seems silly too. I mean, they're a cable company... they spread capital around with no return on investment for years, even decades sometimes.

So I take it USH is already 100% NBC/Uni? If there were never any grumblings about divesting that property then I'd think Orlando is safe as well.
