An Xtreme Xcellent Xperience on X!!! 12-24-01

Associated parks:
None

I got to the park at 9:30 and went through the employee entrance to arrive at the X entrance at 9:40. I waa the first perosn in line!!! If you don't believe me, I was wearing a white Osiris shirt and blue jeans, maybe you saw me.

When I arrived at the entrance, the ops hadn't even started testing the ride or anything. I talked with a few full-timers including the Vice-President and was hoping to see Del but he wasn't there. After about 10 test runs with sups, leads, and "black-tags", they finally opened the entrance at about 11:00. I was on the first train on the front right-outside seat!!! The one-train operation sucked so I didn't go on it a second time. Here's my review:

Everybody cheered as my fellow riders and I made history: The first "public" riders on X. The lift seemed very slow but as we made our way to the top, my heart pounded really hard. The next thing you know we were looking straight at the ground as the seat flipped. This drop is awesome!!! Building speed as we flip under ourselves we make out way to the raven turn full of positive G's! It kinda hurt my neck but I was okay. The bunnyhop backflip spin was very smooth and the turnaround seemed fast too. This is where the ride seemed bumpy. The twisting frontflip was very disorienting and it has to be my new favorite inversion. The 2nd raven turn was amazing but bumpy and the last twist was dizzying too! The thing was over before I knew it. It felt like I was high on drugs! LOL! I bought a picture and my face looks very funny on it. THIS IS MY NEW #1 COASTER!!!!!

Man, the "rub it in cold weather climate enthusiasts faces" continues with these trip reports that are rolling in. Just kidding!!!
"X" and Arrow look to be winners with this coaster.

I here ya!!

I was there wit u Dropkick Murphy...u were in the seat next to me on the first ride!!!

I couldn't believe how massive the trains are! I liked it the best when I rode in the last seat because of the way you get pulled over the top on the first drop. Very intense! To me, the ride seemed very smooth (a lot smoother than Deja Vu!) . Those trains are massive and very heavy and you really can feel the power of all that weight as you're blazin' along. Incredible ride....a one of a kind! It's not a long ride but every second is fast and furious....never a dull moment! Thumbs up to Arrow!
I really hope my park gets one of these.
