Ok, time for a little lesson on the function and features of Coasterbuzz. Recently, I have seen a surge of threads asking questions that have been asked numerous times in the past. So I wanted to take a moment and introduce (and for some, reintroduce) a valuable tool on this site... The search function!!
You may already know that you can type in a key word, and find all things related to that key word in the forums, or other parts of the site. Sometimes, though, a search on your keyword turns up many, many threads. Did you know, that you can narrow your search even further?
Examples:
A question was recently asked *again* of Kennywood's admission prices and best times to go. To answer your question, type "kennywood admission" or "kennywood price" or "kennywood best times" and the site delivers to you, all of the threads containing those key words.
You have decided, for a school project, to describe the vast array of different coasters that are currently out there, but you need to find out why coasters have to use restraints. Remembering that you read a post some time ago, where Rideman answered questions with some valuable information, you abruptly enter "rideman restraints" into the search box, where the results returned are 2 threads, one containing his insights on why lap bars are a better idea over OTSR's (complete with scientific theories!)
You are thinking of going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for the first time, and you want to review a well written trip report. Knowing that Jeff has in the past, scripted some fair, accurate and well rounded trip reports, you decide to see if he has written one for BGW. Without wasting a moment, you type "jeff busch gardens williamsburg" in the search box. You are then returned to 9 threads where these key words are mentioned, one of them being his complete trip report from June, 2000.

Please keep in mind that there are some people who are so new that they don't realize that a question has already been asked, and like the mods, we don't always have the time to rummage through page after page examining each topic.

Believe me, I do keep that in mind, given the number of registered users keeps increasing. The purpose of this post is merely to educate the new user, and remind existing users. The feature often goes unnoticed.
