An awesome CP trip....

So I guess I'll write about the best CP trip of my life. When I 1st got into the park I went and got a locker and hit the restrooms. Now I didn't want to ride demon drop so I took off and headed to Blue Streak,(BS gets a 5/10..RWB@GL is wayyyy better) only to get on and remeber that I had my friends phone(he was the one tryin to get me on DD.) and so I had to find him. Now to make a long story short I rode DD anyhow and met two real nice girls from Miller High School. So my friend, the two girls and I headed toward the back of the park. We hopped on the sky ride, hit up Iron Dragon and headed toward Thunder Canyon which we rode twice. After TC we hit up Snake River Falls and White Water Landing. In order to get dry we went on Wave Swinger and Cedar Creek Mine Ride( I give this a 6/10). Seeing that it was almost time to check in we said our farewells to the girls and headed up front. Got a chance to hit up CorkScrew(back car 2nd to last seat.) Now I hadn't rode this ride since I was 8 so I didn't remeber it. Talk about airtime...I was like floating all the way down the first hill. My head got bangged up pretty bad though. All in all I give CS a 9.5/10.
After we checked in, I couldn't find my friend. So I went off by myself and hit up raptor. I sat in the middle of the train and it was pretty good. I give Raptor a 8/10. After raptor I headed to maXair/disastor transport area. Maxair was sporting a good sized line so I decided to skip it.(glad I did too cuz all my friends who were on felt really sick after going on) So I headed to DT and rode in the very back. Since I rode it in the front too I will vote on both.
Back of DT I give a 9/10. Front of DT I give a 10/10. There were 10 people from our school(all my friends) who rode DT when I was in the front.
After DT we all headed to chaos. Now I didn't want to get sick so I decided to hit up Wicked Twister.
I rode in seat 3-6. I like Steel Venom and Wicked Twister the same. I give em both a 10/10.
So then we headed back towards the back of the park again. we hit up Iron Dragon again. I rode in the 2nd car, front seat the second time and in the middle the first.
Middle of ID 6/10. Front of ID 7/10. The ride is a little lame.
After ID we hit up Mantis. OMG this ride was flippin awesome!
I give mantis a 9.8/10

After Mantis we went and waited an hour to ride Millenium Force. This was my first time ever riding and I was scared to death. When we got up to the platform our group got split up...everyone from it got to ride but me...I had to go by myself...so I prepared for a wild/scary ride. When I got on I took the 2nd Car,Front seat. (I could have waited for the very front, but I didn't want to be really scared). When we were going up the lift hill I calmed my nerves by ejoying the scenery. This ride was so sweet...not very much airtime in the front but all in all this ride still hets a 10/10. after MF we went back to the water park and I rode Thunder Canyon...again. The park was really clean and I onlly heard of one ride getting stuck/breaking down and that was MF...and they had it back up in about 15 minutes. So all in all I give my trip a 99.5/100.

Glad you had fun and good to know that Corkscrew and DT are both better than Raptor. I was kind of confused on that issue. ;)

Wow I can't believe you gave DT a 10/10. Wow.

Millennium Force is 100X better in the back.

DT, Corkscrew, and Mantis are better then Raptor? You must be out of your mind....or your being with your schoolfriends has warped it.
I will agree with the posts above, no way are the corkscrew and disaster transport better than raptor. Raptor is like my third favorite in the park, not being biased here, but Mantis is a rough coaster for a B&M. The Corkscrew is a good ride with little wait at all, nothing to right home about though. Disaster Transport strangely good, i just dont get it there. But to each their own.

My question is why you skipped out on the Gemini which i actually tend to like. Magnum? Top Thrill Dragster, you gotta live the experiece at the point. It just seems like this is the place to do everything if you go. Im glad you got a ride on Millie, good going on that, you sure werent dissapointed on that. What about the flats too. Power Tower MIA, plus not a single ride on anything else of that nature other than Demon Drop. You leave me scratching my head, im wondering here, you havent been there in a while if you havent rode something since you were eight. Live the way of the point, expereince it.

Also Wicked twister is much better in my honest opinion than steel venom no offense but they arent that close in comparison, Twister kicks it up a notch. You might also confuse RWB with what? Its more of the Big Dipper @ GL, and out and back but those are so comparable. Blue Streak is a bit rougher though!

Hey, what do you expect from a "gurl"?
Okay okay so maybe i over"dramatiezed" but as I have mentioned or if I haven't I will tell you...I recently got over my fear of coasters and I feel alot better. And the reason I haven't rode those rides is cuz i didn't have time....

sounds to me like he is a little coaster scared, didn't even go on the boss coasters. when i go to cedar point its MF at least 4x and TTD at least 3x magnum, gemini, rapter, mean streak, mantis, screw all the little BS.

not making fun of you or nothing, but to me that sounds like a waisted day at the point.

Once You Feel the Force You Will never Be The Same
One reason the comparitive rating might seem oddball is that she is doing ratings with catagories. The 9.8 on Mantis would mean she thinks this is a nearly perfect standup.

9.0 on on Raptor could mean she thinks there are better inverted out there but not many. The 2 ratings could bear no resemblance to each other.

I just wanna say if this is who i think it is, she hasnt been on any other coasters that i know of, other than at GL and CP. I just think that her comparisons are slighty exaggerated, i dont mean to knock anyone cause im a newbie to parks too, but there should be better grounds for comparison.

Cause i think this is my cousin, and she does work at GL. I mean i not hating against that cause i love to see that she gets out, but it needs better grounds for these things, thinking maybe she should come with me. Now that sounds like an idea. Damn i never thought of that.

MForce Aholic, that negative bashing is kinda bad on your part, you may have rode the other rides, but you miss out on the other parts of the park, and they are also there for those people who dont ride those are want some variation, but i do agree that she is missing out on some of the greater points of the park.

Nice TR Ellen. I'm looking forward to my first trip to the point this summer and all these positive reports are getting me hyped!

MForce Aholic, it's cool and all that you enjoy MF and TTD and the other rides, but different people have different opinions as well, and I think that's something we should all respect. If someone wants to spend their day at the Point riding the 'tamer' rides, go ahead - why else would CP have one of the largest variety of rides in the world?

Being scared of coasters is something that we all go through - you know, kind of the maturing process. It's just that some people have more of it than others.

Keep the coaster ridin' Ellen!

first of all i would like to say yes I am magnun barrel's cousin and yes I work at GL. He is also right about me only being on the coasters at CP and GL. As I have mentioned earlier this is my first year not being afraid to go on coasters. Just over a month and a half ago I started working at GL. Now they were testing villan and I didn't go on cuz it was too high. Then about a week after that they had our zone test Raging Wolf Bobs. Now I didn't want to look like a scaredy cat in front of they guy I liked so I forced myself to ride. And I loved it. As a matter of fact they had us test it 9 more times in a row...and I stayed on. But the thing that got me over my fear of coasters was walking RWB'S lift hill...I only made it halfway up the Thursday before opening day, but on opening day I worked there so I psyched myself out and made it to the top of the hill. Then a few weeks later my dad and I went to GL and he didn't believe me that I would ride every coaster. (well I did except for Big Dipper cuz it was broke). And the reason I didn't get to go on every coaster at CP was because I was hanging out with like 11 other people. Now if me and my cousin were to go we'd hit up every coaster at least once....(BTW I think that is a good suggestion, magnun....)
