Best amusement park again.... No Surprise. Hats off to CP!!

Except for Magnum making the top 10 steel list again, these results don't actually look too ridiculous this year.

Nice to see S:ROS @ #1 again and lots of newer rides on the list. Maggie at number three seems a bit high and I'm surprised that Raptor doesn't rate higher than Montu.
While Cedar Point is a very good park IMHO it isnt the best park and when you see alot of the catagories you see a big bias against bigger/more visited parks.

#1 Wood Thunderhead

#1 Steel SFNE's S:ROS

Nice to see the Phantom at KP bumping up to #7 while staying on the list.
Interesting how The Voyage is a new for 2005 attraction. How did this NOT make #1 wood?!
Not sure but... Dragster recieved 436 points and is in 10th place on the list, but others with less points are ahead. Is there an error in the Steel Coaster Points or no? Surely not. Should it not be number 8?

Edit: Typo on one of the lists. The Top 50 Steel list sets the record straight. Dragster recieved 333 points.*** This post was edited by coasterfreaky 8/28/2006 11:08:10 AM ***

Congrats, CP!
I don't care what any poll says: Dollywood has the best food!
;)
I'm happy to see Epcot got the recognition it deserves for Illuminations. I'm a little surprised though that Wishes at the Magic Kingdom didn’t make the list for outdoor night production. I like CP’s summer spectacular and the new Hot Summer Lights I don’t think it even comes close to “Wishes”. However while I feel Disney has by far the best live entertainment and shows in the industry they don’t necessarily need the recognition since in the end the goal is to make money, and they are by far ahead of the competition when it comes to that.

Not many parks can top shrimp, steak and lobster in a five star restaurant all the way down to a taco and hot dog like IB can.

It's not even mentioned :(

Chuck, who agrees, Dollywood has the second best food.

The Skyroom is good, and I make it a point to eat there, but it's hardly 5-star. "Food" is far from the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions IB.

Knoebel's wins "Best Food" because of a combination of odd variety, quality, price, and yes, that elusive "fan favorite" vote. If we were to ignore such factors and just go for actual best food, then places such as IoA and the Disney parks would win, but that's not what this poll ends up being about.

I agree that Disney by far and away has the best entertainment with live & nightly shows. I'm not saying that CP or SF Fiesta have poor shows. However, Disney is in a class by itself. In terms of effects, production, equipment, cost, and impact on guests Disney's shows are simply amazing in comparison (Even if they have been running 6-8 years without major changes). It seems they fall just enough outside the realm of the "Amusement Park" circle so they don't get the same kind of attention from those enthusiaists. It's kind of the same with the Kids area. King's Island has a great area, but in no way matches Disney in scope of options for Kids. It just depends on how far "Outside the Box" in the definition of an "Amusement Park" you want to go.
point blank Disney has the best everything. CP is overated as well as are all the SF parks. deserving more recognition are Dollywood (which im finally glad they are getting a little more now). Clearly though Fantasmic, Illumination, and wishes are best, and if there was a parade category WDW would win that too. Not to mention that Space Mountain at DL is way underated. Well thats my rant for the day, thanks for listening
Yay for CP...they deserve it , glad i was able to attend this year.
