Amusement Park Turnaround Stories

Who are you calling a "big box of crazy?" I know this is your site, but I am not sure why you would be throwing personal insults at unnamed people,

I think it's fairly obvious who he's referring to and, as someone that was around when he posted here, "big box of crazy" is putting it nicely.

I saw Dan Savage outside the Congress Hotel during IML, but I didn't run up to him and say "I know who you are and we have mutual friends!"

I don't know who Dan Savage is, or what IML is, but good for you.

I'm not sure what is wrong with pointing out that I saw someone at a couple of different amusement parks.

Am I supposed to stay away from you because I don't personally know you, yet know who you are?

Dan Savage is an advice columnist, IML is International Mister Leather, and I stayed away from him since I know who he is but don't personally know him.

By your logic, just remembering that he was there (or mentioning it) is somehow creepy. Doesn't make any sense to me. But then again, in this crazy world, very little does.

Not following your logic. Respecting someone's privacy is creepy?

Respecting someone's privacy is the right thing to do. Again, I am not understanding you, and I don't feel like taking an hour going back and forth until we each realize what the other is trying to say.

I mentioned to someone here that I saw them at a couple of public places where we both happened to be at the same time. I didn't go out of my way to look for him. I didn't come up to him asking for his autograph. I saw him filming at one park, and talking to a mutual friend at another.

Anyway, as I said before, Y'all have a good night,

Sam

So, you, as a seasonal employee, played a small roll [sic] in helping get Alabama Splash Adventure turned around?

You were also a seasonal worker during the Cedar Fair/Kinzel era at Geauga Lake, right? Does that mean you played a small role in GL's failure?

Everybody ready your pitchforks and torches!

P.S. do you like pancakes?

RE: Dan Koch, I don't know what it is, but he's got some people under his spell it seems, and everyone things he's just peachy.

Honestly, I can't trust a person who is a lawyer and acted the way he did here before he deleted all, and he just comes across as not the sanest person to run a theme park.

Not sure why some people are so latched on to him after the way he has publicly acted.

Oh, I think you understand exactly the world you live in. You came here with an agenda, fishing for or setting up some nonsense to praise Alabama. I know what you did, and the repercussions of it. If you're looking for a platform to get another word in or start some crap, this ain't the place for it. Move along.

Now back to topic. I think the Paramount parks weren't that good, now that they were sold to Cedar Fair, they have become world class parks. I'm not saying that under Paramount they were in the dumps, but under Cedar Fair, we have seen significant improvement, from KD40 to Banshee, Goldstriker, Fury, the Intimidators, Leviathan, etc.

Not sure what you think I did Jeff. I am not tying to start something with you. I must have somehow offended you. And no, I don't understand the world. I don't really think anyone does. Why else would there be so many religions?

Anyway, I think an amazing turnaround story is Waldameer. Amazing park with amazing people, but I thought I read that they actually had to sell off a carousel, or parts of it, to find park improvements. Anyone know anything about that?

How many Roller Coasters have reopened after closing?

I've never been to Alabama, have no idea how the park is/isn't doing, and have no idea what kind of a person Dan Koch is. But I give him credit--he re-opened a coaster that had been SBNO for 3 years. That is something I can respect.

BTW, is Rampage any good?

No, you didn't offend me, but it has been widely reported that you were a dick to people and made a **** show out of yourself at Holiwood Nights, and on Facebook, and I'm guessing it's out of some weird allegiance to the Alabama park. You started this thread to suck up to the Alabama people because you pissed in everyone else's Cheerios. It's not hard to connect the dots.

Go be a troll somewhere else.
