Amusement park database/directory for PDA's

Wednesday, August 29, 2001 3:32 AM
For any enthusiasts who have a Palm/Visor -

I wrote a database for (as far as I could research) all US amusement parks.  I wound up with 266 total.  The db can be found at www.memoware.com (not my site).  Click on "Travel" and you'll see the link for the directory.

To access the db, you'll need to have MobileDB or MobileDB lite (freeware), which is available at www.handmark.com (also not my site).

Just something that I put together for my own amusement (pun intended) that I thought I'd share with the GP.

Pretty cool.  Does anyone know of a MobileDB port (or converter, perhaps) for PocketPC/WinCE PDA's?

Hey Greg -

I actually wrote the thing in Excel and probably still have the original spreadsheet at home.  You can probably convert it from there. I'll e-mail it to you if I find it tonight.

What a great idea!  It's a shame I sold my Palm over the summer. :(

I'd love to see www.rcdb.com converted into a Palm MobilDB file !!! That would be increadibly useful.

Thanks for the park database, it's a great start ! :)

Wow!  I just looked at rcdb.  With over 500 parks (worldwide) and over 1500 coasters, I think I'll let the conversion to MobileDB to someone else! :)
