This is only to the people who have ridden both of these woodies. I bring this subject up because both coasters have aquired trim brakes and both coasters have gotten bad reviews recently do to being slow at certain points. Which one in your opinion is better overall today?
i think that the mean streak beats all woodies
I haven't ridden the american eagle this year yet, but last year after riding both a couple of weeks apart, I liked the mean streak better.
I still think that the Eagle has one of the best first drops around. And while both have been emasculated by trims, I think Mean Streak has suffered more. Both are a little slower than they should be, but Mean Strak has dead spots, specifically this rather lenghty jog on one of the "back" trips (the second one I think). The Eagle on the other hand has somewhat better pacing of elements. The finale on the Eagle absolutely sucks! But then again, I remember nothing from the Mean Streak ending. Therefore, I must say the American Eagle is the better coaster.
