American Eagle, the good ol days

I know alot of members on here are young and probably dont remember the glory days of AE at SFGAm but if you are old enough to remember, what are your thoughts on this racing woodie back when it used to race and didnt have the brakes? Even back then I always would ride the red side because of the return bunny hills of which the blue side lacked. The racing standpoint really made this ride especially at night because for some reason the riders would really get pumped. You would actually think you were at the controls and were racing your competition by the comments you made when going up the hill. Share your storys on this once great woodie(Even though I still think its a great woodie).

I remember going on it it opening year. It scared the crap out of me. I loved it.

i only got to experience it last year for the first time. I enjoyed it, but I can see how crazy it could have been at one time.
I wish I could have ridden the eagle before they went brake happy. When I applied, I wanted to do eagle very bad, especially when I found out it might be going backwards, but no. I'm stuck doing the southwest flat rides (Trail Blazer, Chubasco, Ricochet, River Rocker) Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to finally be able to be a rides op, but was hoping for differant rides. I'll find out for sure if they are gonna run it backwards or not.
