I love this ride backwards. After riding it backwards, it kicks butt. People who ride it forward and never ride it backwards, they don't know what they are missing.

You aren't serious are you? If you are being sarcastic, please dont make fun of me for not realizing the obvious because it is definetly possible. After all, thats how the first switchback railways went.
I am definitely being sarcastic.

Thanks Rollergator! I just thought of something. -Or maybe it has already been thought of. How about taking a B&M inverted coaster, and put the trains on backwards?

Can't they just HANG the trains from the track and turn Eagle into the world's only suspended woodie?
REALLY?? WHEN??
in the words of Arrow Guy "A backwards inverted would hurt like hell"
Try the last seat of "wicked twister" and you'll find out why.

B&M Guy,
FOR YOUR INFORMATION, THIS TOPIC DID INTEREST ME AND DEN. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME IMPROVEMENTS WITH THE EAGLE.
P.S.~THE LAST SEAT OF WICKED TWISTER FEELS GOOD! lol
Okay, you all... getting back on topic....
I can not speak at all for what they are going to do with the Eagle, but I can show you their track record. The American Eagle went backwards twice before (and I think it was the blue train both times, but I'm not positive), in 1990 and 1997. In 1990 it went bachwards the entire year, while it only went rode that way through May or so for 97. In all three instances, as far as I can tell, it was a success, with nearly everyone who experienced it praising it to the skies. Yet, both times we have a record for, they returned the train to the forward position. Draw your own conclusions.
On the other hand, they actually cut out a (admittedlly small) piece of the wall next to the que enterance for a sign that indicated whether the forward side was running or not this year. Perhaps that bodes a little better for backwards.
Now however it's atendance is as healthy as ever. It always has a long wait then Ninja (but if you have rode Ninja you know why. and it was running rough a few times this season but not too bad). Maybe do a retrack and repaint on AE and it'll be ok for a few years.
