Amazing Evening at PC

Associated parks:
None

Some priceless memories were made tonight. I am just in such a great mood after the best time I've ever had at Paramount's Carowinds. Come at night folks, it's almost a new park experience.

Upon arrival (6:20):

Top Gun- We grabbed a back seat ride on this one, as it wasn't was crowded as the front, which we would save for tonight. A wild ride as always, great inversions. I'd say the flat spin was the best. Rating: 8.5

Thunder Road (backwards)- This was really fun as usual. The drop was great and it was good fun! The many times we rode it, the rougher and faster it got. We could tell it was warming up for tonight. Rating: 8.0

Hurler- We knew about the awesome airtime on this ride, so we left some room on the lap bars.(but not too much Hurler crew:-D) It seemed alot faster, and it was really rough, but in an out-of-control sort of way, which is how any good woodie is supposed to feel. We rode this one twice, and the individuality and difference at night maintained the excitement! Rating: 7.9

Carolina Cyclone- This was pretty fun! It picked up some good speed off the hill, which it doesn't normally do. Rating: 7.5.

It was now 8:45, and it started to darken. So, we headed over to Thunder Road again. We had a blast on this. It picked up ALOT more speed and it got very rough, which, even though we banged a few times, we thought was just lovely! The first lift and hill were lit, the tunnel was also lit up, for a nice touch. I was suprised that the lines kept their length. Rating: 9.0

9:20 -It's Top Gun at night time, baby. We had to wait for about 45 minutes for a front seat ride on this one. But all we cared about was actually getting on (becuase the park had closed 5 minutes ago). This would eventually be the experience of a lifetime.

I prayed they wouldn't make us leave, they didn't- Props TG crew! As we ran onto our seats, I decided to take my shoes off - well, it was kind of just spur of the moment. As we ascended the lift I felt free. And what a ride. The combination of the flash of the camera, the darkness, and a particulary insane Batwing inversion which seemingly just took steroroids made this a great ride well-worth the wait. Rating: 10.0 (rated on a personal experience so far!)

Ladies and Gentlemen, come at night and feel the rush of TG, a coaster lovers dream. Oh and, don't forget all the other coasters, particulary Thunder Road, which if it wasn't their, the trip would have been missing something. Wonderful time!

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone/B:TDK

Sounds like a great time! I'm going to be heading back there next month for my yearly company picnic. I normally don't stick around parks until closing but that night ride on Top Gun just sounds awesome. This is one of my new favorite coasters, so it looks like I'm going to have to make an exception ;)

TG is definitely worth a trip. It's fast, disorienting, and smooth as silk! Seriously everybody come to PC and ride.

I agree that Top Gun is incredible. I love the way it was built over the walkways so that you can lool down (or up from the ground) and see the people :)
