Alternative Experience Mode

I've thought of an alternative to 3D in an "experience mode" (one in which you could visit your parks): be able to control a peep in the current isometric view. When you entered this mode, you'd be able to choose your name, pants and shirt color, intensity and nausea preferences, how much money you have, and other options (do you want to have to wait in line, do you want to get hungry, get thirsty, get sick, get tired, have to go to the bathroom, etc.), as well as what park you want to visit. In the game, you'd move around with the arrow keys, except the view would always be centered on you. The go-karts, bumper cars, flying saucers, boat hire boats, and other such things would move with the arrow keys as well.

Well do you want the game to move so slow it would be another sim theme park?I shure as hell dont!

As this would take place in the current viewpoint, I don't see how it would run any slower than the game does now; your character would be just another peep, except for the fact that you would control him/her.

I think it's a great idea Glidein! Although, I imagine it would become tiresome pretty quickly.

Oh c'mon. This has been discussed in about every other RCT2 thread. Post there.

One problem would be that Sawyer would have to redo the angles so it would fit the guest's view. But that would be really cool!

Millenium Force is Blue.
I love Wicked Twister
And Raptor too.

No, his point was that you could keep the current view exactly as-is. It would just always be centered on a particular guest, and would move as the guest moves.

While it would be cool at first, it could get lame after a while. On theother hand, I don't see how this could take an unreasonable amount of programing to do, so it might be a nice little extra for an expansion pack, that wouldn't take up a lot of space (of course, I know absoloutly nothing about prgramming; this is just from a layman's viewpoint).

That sounds like a really good idea to me. Kudos! Think about it while you where waiting for some cash flow instead of just staring blankly at the screen or just leaving all together and not being able to keep up with your park you could spend some time jet sking or getting lost in a hedge maze. There are a ton of things you could do with that.

Actually, I picture this being an entirely separate mode of the game from the build mode, so you don't have to worry about running the park while you're exploring it. Although, it would be a good way to kill time while you're waiting for cash (I call that time SBAMM- Sitting Back and Making Money).
