All major park operators face patent lawsuit over magnetic braking

NBC Universal Inc., Walt Disney Co. and three other U.S. theme-park operators were accused of infringing patents on magnetic brakes used on roller coasters. Safety Braking Corp., based in Newport Beach, Calif., claims the companies infringed patents won in 1994 and 2003. The defendants also include Busch Entertainment Corp., Six Flags Inc. and Cedar Fair LP.

It's also easier for them to file a lawsuit in the US than have to go all the way over to Switzerland.

You wouldn't you'd sue the US-based company that sells the product.
What took 13 years for them to act on this?

The alleged patent infringement didn't happen 13 years ago.

No kidding, like I said, the manufacturer isn't the entity with the deep pockets.
Just wait until all the HIGH price park lawyers get there hands on this

If it's true there will be a quiet settelment, if it's BS(which I think it is)in will be over very soon.

They would have to prove intent, good luck.
