All About Hershey

I did CP, SFWoA, KW, HP, DP, SFGAdv,PKI, SFKK, HW, SFStL & SFGAm last summer and for me HP was up there with the best of them.

Lightning Racer especially - excellent woody.

Bizzarly, the longest waits were for Comet and Trailblazer, the rest were a virtual walkon (in July) despite the park being what I thought was busy.

DM, you're not alone in your observations about ride lines. Here's my theory; Comet is at the front of the park, therefore, people flock to it. It also holds a lot of sentimental value to people who've been going to HP for years. It's also a lot less extreme than Wildcat or Lightning Racer. Put it this way, I've seen them bring out extra sensabarriers because the queue wouldn't hold everyone. Trailblazer just has a lousy capacity with a really short course.
Hershey is a wonderful park with great rides. Most of the crowd there is usually families so you'll find the larger coasters will have shorter lines than the small coasters (Roller Soaker, Trailblazer). However, this may change next year since Storm Runner will probably attract more thrill seekers. Also, be prepared to wait for water rides as the slides and the rapids can get really long lines. *** Edited 2/21/2004 5:47:12 PM UTC by person***
