Alcatraz: The Ride is getting ready to open its first simulator at Six Flags Great Adventure on October 5. Photos are available from last week's testing phase.

Is this going to be an upcharge attraction when it opens?
This looks like another great addition to SFGAdV.  Glad to see Six Flags investing in a good variety of attractions.

Please disregard anything said by me that is incomprehensible, incoherent, or just dumb. I am and will be drained from the arduous school year, thank you!
When did they even start construction on it?

Yeah, it'll be another upcharge attraction.  The park pissed me off last Saturday because it was slated to open September 28th...I went on the 29th and it wasn't ready to open.  I've been waiting all friggin summer for this thing, and then SF Inc goes and puts false advertising on their site.  So, I'm gonna have to wait yet another 2 days to finally ride this!  I'm going Friday night.  And if it's closed, the park is going to get one HELL of a rude awakening from Kyle Brylczyk!!!!!!!!!

If you see me running, try and keep up!

I agree with coaster131 I too was there and it looks like it sucks:( another upcharge ride!  I want another COASTER!!!!!!   GO GET E'M KYLE!!!! I peeked in and saw nothing but a cash register!

"Lookout" it's NITROGIRL!!!

Why do we need another Simulator? This had better be Excellent and Cheap!! I'd much rather see a roto-drop tower replace the parachute drop and a Stand-up B&M replace the Batman Stunt show arena. If we must have a new Sim. At least replace the pathetic Dino Island.

Hypersonic..... indeed.

Why do you need another coaster? You've already got several of the best.

It's never enough. I certainly don't object to getting new coasters at my local parks, but I don't expect it. People are spoiled.

I certainly don't need another coaster, however a world class drop tower (please not S&S) could really enhance the park. A few more high capacity attractions that are not an upcharge could really thin out the crowds found here almost every weekend. I love SFGadv as my homepark, but prefer thrills and shorter lines found elsewhere. As an enthusiast with the ability to travel I guess I am spoiled to some degree. With a park as LARGE as SFGadv in my backyard, I'd love a reason to stay home for the thrills a little more often.

I rode Alcatraz today, 10/8. It was ok but, I'm not sure it was worth the $7.50. I'm glad there was no line and the guy let us go through the simulation twice. It was like a giant Wing Commander video game.
