Airtime Coasters at theme parks

Already looking ahead to next season, I am wondering what are some good coaster that deliver airtime (floater, ejector it doesn't matter). Of course I have heard about the various S:ROS, MF, Shivering Timbers, Villian, Phoenix, RB, AC, and the Georgia Cyclone. Are there any othe airtime whore 'dream machines' that shouldn't be missed. It would be particularly helpful if they were either a) in a big park or b) near a big city. I am not going into the middle of nowhere just for a coaster (e.g. I would love to ride Tremors, but Idaho is a no go). Thanks in advance,
jeremy

The Jack Rabbit at Kennywood Park has the greatest airtime spot in my opinion. The double dip on it is absolutley amazing! The good thing about it is a leather strap is the only restraint.

Amen to that! I'm suprised little kids haven't flipped out of the seat through the coaster's eighty years! A lot of people talk only about the Jack Rabbit as far as air, but the Thunderbolt is almost as good! Plus, Kennywood's right in the middle of a big city(well, close to it anyway).

Fear the Wrath of the Phantom!

Well ... I got two killers for you, one which you may consider "in the middle of nowhere". That would be Rampage, at Visionland, in Bessemer Alabama (just outside of Birmingham) - a huge CCI woodie with a simply incredible back-seat air-soaked ride; and the infamous Screechin' Eagle at Americana, located conveniently in the greater Cinncinnati area (assunimg Americana opens next year).

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.

Belive me or not, the Jet Star at Indiana Beach offers one huge pop of airtime coming off the lift hill if you are not paying atention to the fact that the track does a clif drop down right after the turnaround.. Make sure that the lapbelt is loose and watchout for when the chain engages. OUCH!

Six Flags America IS a Six Flags park!
Big Dipper is one of the best small coaster airtime machines at Six Flags Ohio. It's in Aurora, about 40 minutes from Akron.

Ghostrider, some of the most incredible and violent air around. It's the only really good woodie in SoCal, however.

Also Raven at Holiday World. Serious air in places. Hmmm, both CCI's, hmmm.

Gotta ride 'em all!
Viper at SFGAm is great for airtime. But you probably already knew that, 2Hostyl, being originally from Chicago.

I second Soggy's vote for Raven and I add Legend to that. Two great woodies back-to-back.

I think a good airtime coaster that no one ever talks about is the Hurler at PKD. I never hear anyone talk about it. It's layout is rather blah almost like a paperclip but it has great air. I don't know how the one at Carowinds compares the one at PKD is good. Thunder Run at SFKK is comparable as well just a mirror image of Hurler.

The Legend at arnolds park in iowa is so poorly designed that the las to hills give giant "omigod i am gonna fall into lake okoboji airtime.
only %$ at the gate, LTIC
I can't believe no one has said Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce yet. It's like a smaller version of Shivering Timbers. There is air on almost every single hill, and the scenery while you ride cannot be beat. I preferred the front car to all others for the spectacular airtime. Oh, and it's located roughly 45 mins from SFNE, so it's not really out in the middle of nowhere, even though it is. :)

"Legend 1 looks too intense for me."
If you happen to be in Paris, Tonerre de Zeus at Parc Astrix as incridible airtime and positive G's. After all its a CCI woodie!!!
Thanks for all the input. More is still appreciated. Just wanted to interject a comment. PKD's Hurler was about as close to 'blowing' as a woodie could get. Actually most of PKDs rides were substandard to me. The only rides I really liked were OL:FOF, for the launch, and Avalanche, which was fun for no reason at all (maybe I was just having a bad day). OTOH, I liked the Carowinds Hurler, just dont ride in the back *ouch*!
No one has said the Blue Streak at CP yet. Its not the greatest, but it's got its share of airtime. Compared to Shivering Timbers, it's in a word, cute.
