Agent Johnson Replies to Hershey Arena Question...

The Areana is not on the endangered list. There are many options being considered on the books there. The best guess / use scenario is utalizing it in Hersheypark for a daily show, in house events, or anything that requires some large seating.

It is a symbol of the community, and it will remain for years to come. Enjoy the new GIANT Center. It is customer friendly, and it was needed to grow revenues for the Sports and Entertainment Division.

I went to one game already in the new Giant Center. I'm not sure what to make of it yet. Long lines for food and restrooms, the outer walkways were completely packed between periods, (it took us an entire intermission to walk around the entire food area). Then there was the parking nightmare. Instead of using the park enterance we had to go behind the Giant Center then drive all the way around it go under rt 39 then park in the Hersheypark lot anyway. To get from basicly the Lightning Racer to our parking spot it took a good half hour! There was still some construction going on so i'm sure it will be quicker when it's complete.

I think the main problem with the crowded food areas is that people line straight back from the food area and block the walkway (why don't people form lines along walls or off to the side?) I think with some queueing that can be fixed. I'm sure the parking will be resolved shortly as well.

Our seats were great for the game. My biggest complaint is the scoreboard that shows movie clips and other crap. When I go to see hockey I wanna see hockey and be entertained by the game not the lame tv's. For me the big screen just distracks me from the game.

I'm sure the new arena will grow on me. At least now they sell beer! :)

What an inexpensive way to build an indoor coaster...

Coasterpunk, You got that right!

When I go to a minor league hockey game, I expect to watch hockey and not comercials on some scoreboard. There is enough advertising on the boards and in the hallways.

Cincinnati Cyclones moved from Cincy Gardens to the riverfront, The result was everything but hockey to me.

Chuck, who reguarly visits his AHL Mighty Ducks in a older less luxurious arena and just plain loves it for the HOCKEY and VIEW.

Now I better get on topic, What makes anyone think a big arena would be good for a coaster? The modifications themselves would probably cost more than buiding a seperate building for it in the first place.

Chuck, who dosn't see riding FOF in a arena.

Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!

No indoor coaster. LIVE entertainment.
