"After 45 years, we're quitting smoking!"

"Do you mind if I smoke?"

"well, do you mind if I fart?" :)

are there any recovering addicts/aa's on the list? I'm going on a trip alone this summer out east and need to find some meetings by the parks!

I was at SFGAm today. They are playing the "After 45 years we've quit smoking" spiel over the park PA system every 15 minutes and there is tons of signage around the park about it.

No big deal though, there are still places to smoke.

Anywho.. yes smoking is bad. I think it's a great policy. And there is nothing you smokers can do about it, it's their property, they can handle it how they want. Face it, you have no rights on their property. Go along with it, or leave. *** Edited 4/29/2006 1:33:05 PM UTC by Keith2005***

No one is saying that Six Flags has no right to ban smoking on their property, or that people have rights to smoke on their property. The fact that you hate smoking doesn't mean that people cannot voice their opinions on Six Flags' smoking policy and have to suck it up. The policy is a pretty fair deal by several posters' standards including my own, and you should note that not a single reply has told non-smokers to suck it up or leave the parks still allowing it. *** Edited 4/30/2006 1:19:45 AM UTC by Coastration***

I have no problems with people smoking in designated areas. MY problem is people smoking in the queue line, and they still do it. There is nothing more disgusting.

I quit smoking in March of 2001. I needed something to fill the void so I became a coaster enthusiast on the second weekend of May 2001 when the Cornball opened. That helped a lot; I didn't think about smoking all that day.

When I was 15 or 16 in line at Kings Island or CP I smoked in line all the time. People didn't seem to care as much in those days.

Now of course I hate smoking. I was actually quite irritated when someone flipped a cigarette butt from the station of the Hoosier Hurricane and it landed on a car below. I pointed out that the butt landed on a car below.

Have any of you been to SFGadv this season? They have designated smoking areas but no one actually uses them. People were smoking all throughout the park on my visits. As a smoker, I understand smoking in crowded places is inconsiderate but dayum when im outside in open air how can you regulate what air im allowed to use to smoke with?
