Adventureland's new ride

According to their website, they are getting a new kind of water ride.

Anyone have pictures of it or an artirts drawing of it.

The website is not real detailed on the new ride.

easiest way to describe is, imagine a river rapids ride boat going down a "Hurricane Falls" style slide, which will end up in a resovoir section with rapids and themeing. This is the first one in the USA so it is a little hard to say what the actual ride will feel like.

Do you bleed blue? BLUES HOCKEY 2002

Wow, that actually sounds pretty cool, I may have to make the long and hard one and a half hour trek west to go there sometime this summer.

There is a drawing of it in a late summer issue in Amusement Today. If you go to Whitewaters website, thereis a photo of one in Europe in operation.

It's a Whitewater West "spinning rapids" ride. (Click the link, then click on the "amusement parks" section for details and pics.) It's one of those waterslide-type rides that you ride in regular clothes.

Don't get your hopes too high on this one, unless they do a miraculous job at theming (and even then, its doesn't work).

Why? I have been on the Parc Asterix "Oxygenarium" which is the same all around ride. Lift is nicely themed... then, its just a bad water slide (Asterix had those rubber carpets to make you "spin", but all they do is slow you down and make awful noise!) The Part at the bottom? A float to the station... and you dont even get wet.

The one at Adventureland is to have geysers and falls on the float back to the station. So it shouldn't be too boring.
