Adventureland

Associated parks:
None

I went here today with my physics class, it was a very good school trip and i didn't have class today so i am happy.  The first ride was the looping star, those unfamilar with the park its one of the really big swinging ships that goes upside down.  Very good ride, nice speed and height.  Next hit the parks Hurricane rollercoaster, which packs a real punch for the room it has to work with.  The odd surf dance was next, i don't really know how to classify this ride but it was a swining ship similar to a top spin, it was just ok i could have had better programming to it.  The ladybug kiddie ride was next, it was pretty bad but me and my friend got a laugh out of two annoying little black girls yelling"holla, holla". The pirate ship was next and provided decent air.  The last ride of the day was the log flume, a very good compact log flume, and tied for the best ride in the park with the hurricane.

Is Adventureland still operating? I was the under the impression that it had closed for the season.

Surf Dance is a very unique ride, and I think it may the only one of it's type in the United States. It's a Mondial SuperNova ride.

Any sign of the rumored Top Scan?

Yes i heard the Top Scan Rumor but saw no sign of construction or any ride parts.  The are gonna have to remove another ride in order to make room for it.
I remember reading somewhere something about the Huss Looping Star being in it's final stages of life. It could just be conjecture though, as I can't really recall where I saw that.

But, if it's true, that's the probable location for the Top Scan.

~ Maddie, wishing Adventureland offered season passes.

I thnk that the looping star isn't going anywhere and i dont think thats the right shape for the rumored top scan.
Where is this Adventureland? The only one I know of is in Des Moines

movies+coasters= the most fun you could ever imagine!

I suppose he's talking about the Adventureland in New York as there's not a Hurricane roller coaster in Des Moines.
