Advanced Supports in RCT2...

Ok, I have read through the manual and looked everywhere... but how in the world do you get advanced supports on the rollercoasters?

How do you get the more complex supports that I've noticed on wooden coasters, where they extend out an additional block of land? How about the lifts with the more complex looking supports as opposed to the single straight beam?

I'm looking everywhere and I can't find it! AArrgghh...
It's probably right under my nose, but I don't see it!

use stacked scenery.....

I must be retarded... where is that located? Is it special scenery to have complicated supports, or can you do it right from the beginning?

I use stacked scenery all the time... for scenery...

Are "complicated" supports actually special scenery, or is it a part of the coaster that comes with it? I think I'm now more confused.

Dawgbyte, its under the scenery icon with the question (?) sign. There is a triagular and square section that is stackable. Hope that helps

The way I did it was to build a pre-fab coaster with the extra supports, then demolish the coaster. The scenery they used for the extra supports will stay, and you can take it apart in pieces to see what they used.

I have a 4-D I'm working on with full custom supports. I'll post in in the games section as soon as I'm done.

LocoBazooka--Sevendust, Nonpoint, Stereo Vent, Mushroomhead
Korn Tour (With no name)--Korn, Puddle of Mudd, Deadsy

Its easy, you dont have to demolish rides or anything. Go to the scenery page, click under walls and roofs, scroll down a bit, and there you go, 3 types of custom supports.

kpjp's point was if you want to see EXACTLY how it's done on the prefab coasters, that's one way to check it out.

My page

What about stairs on lift hills? Is that only on 4D coasters?

-----------------

yes. Use the mini-golf stairs other wise.

on a second note my account here has a saved password using my cookies. One day I was typing and submitted my reply and it was the right password but my reply didn't come up so I got a new account and now I can't edit it why is this.

My 4-D is up in the games section now. Check it out! There is so much scenery that you have to build it in 3 steps! Download it, and see what you think...and by all means rate it. It's called Towering Inferno.

Am I the only one here who thinks the system of scenery stacking is complicated and restricting?(still cool though) Batter Braces, for instance, can only be built alongside straight coaster track, rather than at an angle, like on a helix.
