I was on the Six Flags official site on the SFO web page. Are those prices that they are showing apply to the 2000 season? If so that is cheap. There season pass price is $39.99 which is only 49 cents more than a one day admission to Six Flags Great America.($39.50) (UNREAL!!!!)
Yeah, but the daily admission is a rip-off. That SFGAm price is a serious rip-off!

Actually, the site right now is inaccurate. Season Passes went up to $44.99 on the first of February.
I was watching an ad for SFO and they daid $39.99
Well, there would be no confusion if Six Flags actually updated their website a bit more often. I guess they feel that it is not a priority. Oh well.
Jeff, if you consider Six Flags as a ripoff do you also apply that to Cedar Points pricing? The adult admission is pretty much the same.
$38/14 coasters at CP = $2.71/coaster.
$40/9 coasters at /SFGAm = $4.44/coaster.
That's my math. Of course, you also have to consider the variety of flat rides, operational practices of the park, food prices, cleanliness, etc. That in my opinion distances Cedar Point even further.

there's more to a park than just 'coasters. if you're basing a parks fee on JUST it's 'coasters, then that won't work for EVERY guest.
SFO passes are priced at $39.99, just like the website says. i called and asked after seeing this thread.
regular days admission is $30.99, so if you plan on maybe coming twice or more you'd be a fool not to grab a pass.
cedar point is an awesome park, but not perfect. last summer alot of food places were closed due to no staff just as at GL and SWrld and their staff was just as rude, if not more so, than anywhere else.
anyone remember the days when disney could do no wrong? now everyone jumps on them for every little thing. cedar points turn will come. just as six flags, busch, and all the rest.
I'm not debating that there's more to a park than coasters, but coasters are my preference. I could care less how many Tilt-a-Whirls I get to ride in my lifetime. SFO is priced reasonably with the new rides, and you would be silly not to buy a season pass. Some of the other SF parks near large markets are however way over-priced.

Yes Jeff, I understand CP has more coasters but you havent been to SFGam yet so you really cant judge it. I am saying that because you have no coasters from this park in your record. You might be surprised. Alot of people give it a good review. Just remember when you visit that alot of the coasters at SFGam broke records when they debuted. This park holds a place in history when it comes to coasters. Although if you are not interested in anything else at a park but coasters then you will not like it more than CP. 9 coasters at a park is still impressive. (If they would have kept Tidal Wave, Rolling Thunder, Z-Force and Yukon Yahoo then the tally of coasters today would have been 13). On top of all that I have to stick up for my hometown park. (We all do it.)
I think you guys are totally taking what I'm trying to say out of context. It has nothing to do with which park I like better, it has to do with the overall value. I really like Darien Lake, but I think the admission price is insane for what they have. I had total sticker shock when I went there last summer. I paid it anyway, because I wanted to ride Superman, but it was still fairly ridiculous.
