Adding new flat rides to existing saved parks

Is it possible to add the new user created flat rides to existing saved parks I have? I have my recreation of Dorney Park I did a few months back for RCT2 and I'd love to add the new flat rides to update my park. I've tried to even just use the landscape from the park and make a new scenario but it's not working for me. Is there anything I can do without needing to completly redo the park from scratch?

No unfortunately you can't, you have to start the scenario editor over again.

Where have you found new flats? I have a couple but I was wondering if there are any more.

There should be a way to go back far enough into the editor to the ride selection screen,so if I'm not mistaken then yes it should be possible to add new rides to an existing park.

The new flats can be found over at Amazing Earl's site,in fact he released a new ride today (the super looper) which basically is a ring of fire type ride,he also released an updated version of the swinger which fixes a few of the graphical glitches that were in the first version, there's also a new alpine bobs ride available too.

Yes you CAN go back in the scenario editor! I think I have answered this question about 80 times. I direct you to the third thread down from yours titled "help with park entrance." It gives you the step by step on how to do that. Also, quite interesting, that there was a point in my DP recreation where I had to go back and add some flats from Amazing Earls website, so yes you can do it. You should post your screens, I'd like to see em. I just posted some of my updated screens, take a look at em.

Thanks DorneyDante, figured it out. Now if I could figure out how to put my coasters back in by just plopping them back down in the spaces they were and with the scenery I had around them.

And if you want my park I can email it to you, at least the previous version.

The problem is that you can't add the new rides, scenery to an existing park without having to re build everything you already did as far as rides and shops go. I have parks I'd like to add the super loop to but I don't want to have to rebuild every ride just to do it.

This should be on the wish lists or maybe a trainer function. The ability to add /subtact selected rides scenery with out losing the rides staff or peeps already in the park.

There are also nice covered and uncovered versions of the matterhorn/alpine bobs rides at rctdepot.com that were based on the enterprise ride in the game.
If you read my post you would've seen that I mentioned the alpine bobs ride already.
I read your post and you FAILED to say where to find the ride........
you can find new rides at http://www.amazingearl.com/rct2/
or
on the forums at http://www.rct2.com

Yeah but how hard is it to simply plop down a flat ride or plop down a stall? If you save the tracks of the rollercoaster all you have to do is plop that down, making sure it fits correctly correllating to the scenery around it. I would think that adding the flats and stalls would be much more time effective than rebuilding the whole park again.

Save your coaster designs without scenery. When you go to put them back in your parks match it up with the scenery. For those where the coaster stations are up off the ground just raise a peice of land up under the station. If it went through a tunnel pull the tunel down, put the coaster in, tear out the track section that was tunneled, replace the tunnel, then rebuild the tracked section. Those are my suggestions for putting coasters back in. Unfortunatly tou can't put any that were underground back in under ground.
It would be easier if the damn senario editor just didn't erase the rides and stalls to start with. That's what I'm trying to say. Dorney Dante have you had to go thru the trouble of replacing every flat, coaster, and stall as well as rehire the staff? I did believe me it ain't fun.

Coaster trigger I have saved all my coasters and do what you say but as I said The game should be able to load into the senario editor intact. This is something that should be addressed by the writers in future add-ons or sequels. Maybe someone could write a trainer for it too I don't know.

Yeah it is a pain in the a*s*s, but think about how much a pain in the ass it would be to redo the entire park!
