Add my name to the list!

You can add my name to the list of park addicts who love the book, The Amusement Park guide. A couple of weeks ago on rec-roller coaster, I read a few posts about it from fans who were falling all over themselves about it, so I picked up a copy, and I can tell ya, it's sweet! It reviews hundreds of parks, gives you all the vitals (operating schedule, prices, www address, rides, directions, etc) and give a lot of little-known facts a trivia. It's written by the editor of Amusement Business magazine (Tim Obrien), and he does mix in some good facts like the top 10 (by attendance) waterparks, amusement parks, oldest coasters, etc, but it's also got kind of a funky 'park lovers' edge to it.

A lot of folks said it's great to have when you're traveling to parks, but I found it myself crashed on the couch, just reading it page by page! Definitely a "park Bible", I just wish I'd had it before now.

By the way, it was about $11 on Amazon.com.
