Looks like Hershey has a real winner on thier hands! I've done TTD, Xcel and SR now and SR is my fav by far. TTD's launch is insane, but the top hat isn't much when compared to the nutty stuff on SR! The S-curve climbing up that hill is disgusting, totally disorienting! It whips you around but doesnt give any headbanging. The OTSR's are the coolest things I've ever seen, they feel like standard lap bars and don't interfere with your view or ride experience at all! Thier capacity is also doing great! The dispatch times are between 60 and 90 seconds most of the time, placing the rides capacity at over 800, plenty for Hershey Parks crowds.
I also don't want to toot my own horn, but theres a video of SR with POV (gotten because the lipstick cam was PHYSICALLY ATTACHED to my arm, as stipulated in the ride rules ;) ). I won't link here because it'll flood ACN, but look on the ACN forums and you'll find the link.*** This post was edited by ThePhantomLives 5/19/2004 12:02:44 AM ***
The capacity was pleasantly surprising also.....you barely have enough time to get strapped in (very comfortably) before it's launch time!
Personally I thought the coaster was more "fun" than "intense". It fits well with the park. :-D
