Recently I joined ACE. When X opens are we invited? If so what do we do when we get to the park???

go to www.aceonline.org
and it will tell you all the recent news for what we are invited too and what events are coming up. if its not listed there then it won't happen. plus the closer you register to the off-season the longer it takes for you to even take part in an event cause you have to have your ACE card to participate in anything ACE.

Yeah I have been a meember for two years and to answer your question: mostly likely, ACE is constantly invited to major coaster openings and practically everyone this year. Bring you pass with you and show it at the entrance. I am sure someone will tell you want to do. ACEers have to ride really, really early in the morning so get there at least a few hours before opening or when the event is scheduled.

ACEonline is not update regularly and usually doesn't have regional events or opening coasters. i am sure you will hear about the opening for the press and best bet is to show up then or ask SFMM about it.

Another alternative than just showing up and asking the park is to e-mail your reginal rep and ask them if there is anything in the works. You can find out your rep by looking at: http://www.aceonline.org/usa-summary.htm

Florida parks don't really embrace ACE the way parks elsewhere seem to. I'd really like to try and help set up a wintertime event in Tampa or Orlando, the parks can be pretty slow at times. Also, the ACE website needs some help...I volunteered but never heard back...

Generally speaking, parks contact the regional ACE rep who in turn contacts members. The parks are often careful about who they invite to that sort of thing, as obviously they only want people with positive comments to talk to the media.

So, is an ACE membership good for one calander year, or is it good from the date you purchase it? Also, under "family membership," it says "three people living at same address," does that mean if I have an apartment with three of my friends, could we get the family memebership? Finally, how often do you actually get to go to a park when the GP isn't there. (My Homeparks are SFMM and KBF if that helps) Thanks in advance for any feedback........

To answer Coolbrojoe's question, the regeniol Rep. would e-mail you about if your invited to an opening. I don't know if were invited, I certainly hope so!
To answer Koppman's question, CoasterCon XXV will be at SFMM and Knott's next year. It depends. Sometimes you might be invited to be on a Coaster Show. I rode S:TE for Discovery and we shot it before the park opens. I would think you could sign up you and your freinds for the Familly Membership. They say three people.

On a side note, has anyone gotten anything from ACE recently? I sent in an address change a couple months and haven't received any mailings in the last month, so I'm wondering if it got changed.

For any ACE members. I live in Northern Ky and am considering joining ACE, so I have a question about ACE. Since I will only be 17 next year I will not be able to attend many events outside of PKI, CP, SFKK, and a few other parks, would the membership be worth it? Thanks for the help.
