The first stop of the conference was at a little park on Long Island. I wasn't expecting much from Adventureland but had some pretty good surprises. First ride during ERT I had was the Hurricane. This was a zippy little steel coaster built by SDC. I was pleased with it and went on a few more times. The Lady Bug Coaster was a nice family coaster. After a trip around the park on the train and some time in the gift store, the plaque presentation for the park happened. After some good food in the cafeteria, I decided to walk over and try the flume. It was very good, a little wet and the line moved pretty good too. After buying some stuff in the store it was on to Rye's.
Coasterboy, while you were at Adventureland did you see the guy limping around with all the piercings. When I got up close I couldn't believe what I saw. He took a knife and cut himself to make some kind of design. I mean deep. It went the entire length of his leg. From his hip to his foot. I couldn't believe someone would do that. I think I would just get a tattoo instead. Ouch!
